Approximately 5 years ago, Dr Barakat terminated daughter's treatment after 4or5 months because we had paid only $1,900 for treatment, plus she returned a $4,000 payment to my bank. There was also a problem with the type of treatment since Dr. Barakat recommended cutting the jaw in two places at EXTRA COST. Full details of treatment are contained in my "Yelp" review; however, we did later obtain flawless treatment at Dr. Wiger's Sterling, VA, office, where it was not necessary to cut the jaw.
In the past 5 years, Dr. Barakat has much more experience so
your treatment should be much improved.

My children and I have all had orthodontic treatment with Dr. Rana Barakat. She is fantastic. Very professional, always kept us updated with the treatment. Her fees are very reasonable, I got multiple consultations before choosing her office merely based on budget since I have 4 children that needed treatment. Chosing her office was by far a great decision. My sister in law chose another office and has had nothing but problems at the other orthodontist office. The staff at Dr. Barakat's office is very knowleadgeable and courteous. Everyone is ready to assist you. I recommend this practice to anyone who wants an honest, knowledgeable orthodontist.

The waiting room is quite nice but treatment is a bit too expensive for mediocre service. Some of the staff members are friendly.
