I have been a patient of Dr. Stack for many years. However, ever since Dr. Brown took over, the office has declined for the worse. My jaw is in constant distress now. Dr. Brown is new to the TMJ business, and every patient to him is an experiment. Especially in the latter phase when braces are involved, Dr. Brown has no idea what he's doing. I have switched to a different provider who is actually skilled like Stack is. I have lost thousands to Dr. Brown who provides false promises and misdiagnoses and who just wants to keep every penny because that is all their business is about.
About Front Desk: Office staff is a joke. Brown's new office manager Venus is careless and never does anything she says she will do. Too many counts of failed scheduling due to her mistakes. Worst service I have ever received.

Dr. Brendan Stack ordered all of my 2nd molars extracted during orthodontic treatment. This horrific decision by Dr Stack resulted in all of my wisdom teeth being extracted as well. The oral surgeons at the Univ. of North Carolina Dental
School make presentations at dental conferences worldwide to demonsrate the damage done by Brendan Stack's malpractice. He has an international reputation as a dangerous orthodontist that can ruin your teeth fo life. Avoid Brendan Stack like the Plague.

- Dr. Stack often went out of town. He did not deny the fact he left the practice for days on end with no coverage of any sort, no associate, and no backup, and explicitly stated "There is no one around here who does the work I do." True or false, this does not exonerate him from not having someone to provide emergency coverage for days on end.
- In two different circumstances, he gave two different answers about my need for a particular TMJ appliance. One day he did an exam and said no. A week later he did the exact same exam and said yes, with no changes occurring.
- I offered to come in and talk to resolve matters to avoid involving the Board. At the time,I had been fitted with and wearing a orthotic device to move my lower jaw, for about a month. When I got to the office, he handed me a check to refund all my money, told me give him the orthotic, and leave. He did not provide any referrals or guidance as to how to follow up on treatment, simply terminated treatment without regard.

Dr. Stack is a world-reknowned specialist in TMJ. I am a relatively new patient of his, and my treatment is not yet complete, but so far I have been pleased with the results. He does not accept insurance, so you have to file your own medical insurance claims, but if you suffer from TMJ, it is well worth the effort. The office is extremely hygenic - and I do pay attention to this. Friendly office, with an open-plan organization. Again, if you suffer from TMJ or think you may have TMJ, Dr. Stack is the doctor to see!
