Dr. Groat and his staff are excellent. My daughter recently had a "double parked" tooth and it had to be pulled.
She wasn't even aware he gave her a shot. He is extremely skilled and the best with kids.
She has also learned fantastic habits and loves going to the dentist. They have the best treasure chest around.
Would recommend him and his office a million times over.

We are fortunate to live in San Pedro because Dr. Groat, and now his son, are the best dentists for kids I've ever seen. The office is so relaxing, my daughter has no fear when she comes in, and the service and knowledge base is excellent. Children need to see a dentist early (as soon as 2 years old) and when a dentist is as kind and professional as Dr. Groat, it makes regular checkups and preventive care easy. My 6 year old is cavity-free, has good brushing and flossing habits, and we hope this will last her lifetime.

He is the Absolute Best around. If you live in the San Pedro area he is who you go to! If you live around te area he is worth te drive. He is kind, gentle, and knows his stuff.
All children love him :o)
The staff is great. Always friendly, ready to help with anything we needed.

My son had his first ever dental appointment last month with Dr. Groat. I cannot believe how awesome Dr. Groat works with kids! My son is only 2, but has some special needs so I wanted his teeth checked out as a baseline and to get more info. for me really. It went extremely well (he used a puppet to explain the chair, light etc.). The office are very clean / up to date and kid friendly. I wish he took adults!

My son loves Dr. Groat. Prior to going to Dr. Groat he didn't like to go to dentists at all. He had a consultaion with Dr. Groat and he felt completely comfortable. He actually couldn't wait until his next visit. I have no problem getting him to the dentist now. He loves this dentist. I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. I am not a family, friend or employee of Dr. Groat. Dr. Groat's staff are all very polite and they all treat you like you are part of their family. They have no problem with my insurance. The amount that isn't covered by my insuance is better with Dr. Groat than it was with my previous Dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Groat...Just an awesome, awesome dentist!
