I'm very phobic about going to the dentist, but he has been completely gentle and patient each time I go back. A thoroughly pleasant experience. I would gladly recommend him to anyone.

I haven't seen a dentist in a year and a half because I have had "extremely" bad experiences with a couple of them. Last one I had was an extraction that took over an hour to happen, I was crying all the time, and it was horrible.
I was so thankful I found North Berkeley Dental Arts. I have heard about Dr. Nate Kaufman before and I know he is a household name when it comes to dental care and research in the East bay. I went to see them, and I met instead Dr. Allan Sio and Dr. Vince Lim, who are Dr. Kaufman's successor to his practice. I was so astounded. These guys are the best. Very Very friendly and caring i.e. they take time to listen and more time to explain their diagnosis and treatment approach. Very very competent and gentle. I was in for 2 extractions and in 40 minutes I'm out with no discomfort, only surprise it was that fast. I had as well several fillings done weeks earlier, and all I can say they were excellent work I am so happy with. They make seeing the dentist ENCOURAGING, and look, I'm a dental phobic talking.

I have been seeing Dr. Sio for a few years and have followed him from other offices. He is very gentle and through. He explains the whole process or alternative options. Everyone in the office is friendly and I felt comfortable the whole time. I also like the flexibility of Saturday and early morning appointments to fit in my schedule. I would recommend Dr. Sio and North Berkeley Dental Arts to everyone.

My experience with Dr. Sio was great. I had two large cavities but he was extremely gentle. I'm afraid of needles but I barely felt the shots. The office staff was friendly and his office is adorable and totally dispelled any fears that I had about going to the dentist. My daughter also loved going to Tom for a cleaning, and he's great with other kids. I'm definately going to continue coming here.
