Stephanie Chen is by far and above all pediatric dentistry in Charlotte. All 3 of my children loved Dr Chen's attentive dental care and hated to go to any other dentistry when they had grown. She is that special type of person that cares for every patient like they are her own children. She is definately one of the best pediatric dentist in America. I regret I hadn't given her a review back when we she was our pediatric dentist.

Wonderful Dentist! I recommend her to everyone I know. My child had to get several teeth pulled and she was able to get our insurance company pay for a full sedation because my child was filled with so much anxiety. The procedure was done and my child doesn't remember anything and still loves to go and see Dr. Chen.

I first brought my son who suffers from severe Cerebral palsy to Dr. Chen about 7 years ago; to some he is considered a quadriplegic, since he has no controlled use of any of his extremities. As you see he requires and deserves nothing short of the best of the best for all his medical needs. We experienced such an outstanding visit way beyond any of our normal expectations, we continued to stay with her until now and plan to continue for as long as she will allow him as her patient. We now live in Florida and travel to Charlotte North Carolina every six months for his ongoing check ups and for any of his addition dental needs he encounters. She has since performed three extremely successful oral surgeries on him at The Carolina Medical Center. She is the most genuinely compassionate Dentist I have ever come across in my 44 years. Her entire dental assistants staff, office staff, and office manager Gloria are all very helpful, friendly. And compassionate. I would recommend her services to anyone who is in need of an outstanding Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Chen did two fillings and referred our 12 year old to a specialist for a root canal on a permanent tooth. The entire experience was magical ... from the movies the children get to select during longer procedures to her friendly encouraging approach with the children. Katie was so impressed with Dr. Chen that she has decided she wants to be a dentist when she finishes college so there will be one more "great dentist" (as she calls Dr. Chen) that children can go to without fear and pain. Kudos Dr. Chen !

I took my son to Dr. Chen for a checkup and cleaning and I could not have been happier. She calmed my son and erased his nerves. Highly recommend.

She is great. Dr. Chen takes her time to talk to you and discuss your childs treatment. My daughter absolutely loves her. Highly recommended.

We absolutely love Dr. Chen. I have 4 kids, and the youngest fell and hurt her front teeth at age 3. At that time we went to another pediatric dentist in town. He tried to fix her teeth, but she was scared and would not cooperate. He very nicely recommended Dr. Chen to us.......and I am so thankful. My daughter still wouldn't cooperate for her to fix her teeth in the office, and ended up with sedation at the hospital to fix them, but there was no option............the tooth had abcessed after waiting for the fix. We have since switched the youngest 2 kids to Dr. Chen for all of their care. She is so sweet, patient, and soft-spoken with the kids. The whole staff works very hard to insure a relaxed, happy atmosphere for the kids....takes away all fears. My older 2 still go to their original pediatric dentist, but my girls love Dr. Chen. I wish she did adults. I am a chicken when it comes to the dentist. I wish that I could go to her for dentistry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am taking my four children BACK to Dr. Chen! We lchanged dentists only because her practice moved from their Albemarle location. I didn't want the longer drive. Ha! Now we're so excited to make the longer drive to their new location. Dr. Chen and her staff are so caring. I trust Dr. Chen implicitly! She is so forthright and balanced in her recommendations. She is so sweet; when my youngest was 5, she so looked FORWARD to going to see Dr. Chen. Every one of my children ADORE her! Her people skills and her professional skills are tops! Her staff is the greatest. We are so happy to be going back to her -- can you tell?

My children love Dr. Chen. Everyone in the office is extremely nice. The insurance claims were always filed for me. Most of the services we've received have been successful and pleasant.
In extreme cases when major dental work was concerned the experience was not so pleasant. I am totally against IV sedation for dental work on baby teeth. If you have a young child that will not cooperate with gas there is no other method besides IV sedation; other than waiting until they are older or until their teeth start to hurt them.
Taking my child in for major work she received gas and in the process of numbing her with the needle my child screamed and tried to get up from the chair (4 yrs) after, we were dismissed with the only other option of IV sedation. We left with her mouth numb, no dental work, and began the process of waiting. She has since received dental work from another dentist and the experience was very successful.
