I am disgusted with the shoddy work done to my baby's 2 teeth. One still had a visible cavity and the gum line filling on the other just fell out. This dentist cares only for money and cuts major corners. I paid $1400 dollars for 2 baby teeth to be repaired. My son was take. Out of my sight and given liquid dilaudid (forced) and taken out of my sight for a very extended period of time. The staff did update me often and said he was crying but ok. I trusted her. There is NO way she was with my son for the entire time. I called from the parking lot to speak to her. To date- she has not contacted me. I called for a records release to obtain my son's records k my to be met with games and delays. Sent a second waiver because the one I signed "had a tear in it." I will be reporting this Gonta to the Office of Professional Conuct. My son suffered at her hand and she took out money without the blink of an eye, failed to contact me for an explanation or remedy and her work is terrible. Now, I have to pay a second (competent and professional) dentist to fix the damage she did. Horrible experience.
About Front Desk: Her staff is incredible. She should be ashamed of herself. She is completely unprofessional.

we had a horrible experience. they said they accepted our insurance and told us we had to pay upfront and be reimbursed by insurance company.she charged us $1400 to extract a five years olds tooth!!!! our insurance company gave us $300 back! mind you we never ever had to pay out of picket for fillings, cleaning, or extractions that my husband had. she over charged so much that my insurance made us pay $1100 for a stupid tooth extraction.unbelieveable!

I would never recommend Dr Gonta for any kid. My daughter was traumatized after getting a couple of fillings and a crown there. We had to move to another dentist and it was after a year of visits at another office that she recovered from her fear of dentists. Its a beautiful office but their practices are questionable at best. For fillings, crowns etc, they insist on sedating kids and wheeling them to a room where a parent cannot even peek in while the procedure is under way. It is traumatic for little kids and sometimes the sedation is unnecessary.

If anyone knows a family who has had a terrifying experience at Dr. Maureen Gonta's Dental Office in Corning, NY please, please have them contact me. I would really like to start building a case against this unethical practice. Not a single child or family needs to experience this EVER. I need people's help though to do something. hfaulkner54@yahoo.com
