All of my children have been seen by Dr. Soxman for routine dental care. She and her staff have not only cared for their teeth but for their emotions as well. They have all had their turns going through stages of fear of the dentist chair, and all of my children have been given the time and attention needed to successfully get them through their visit. She takes the time to explain the visit and recommendations to each family and scheduling has never been an issue. Years ago, my then 3 year-old refused to open her mouth for an appointment with a different dentist. The care shown to her by Dr. Soxman and her staff through the years has had such a positive impact and I recently reflected with pride and amazement at how far my child has come as she made it through a recent tooth extraction with no problems. When I take my children to Dr. Soxman I know their teeth are being cared for and just as important, I know she respects and honors them as people while she is doing her work. I have recommended Dr. Soxman to family and friends in the past and would not hesitate to continue to recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist for their child.

If you are considering Dr.Soxman you must completely ignore the previous review. My three kids
have been patients of Dr.Jane for 4 years and love her. We have been to numerous dentists (as we have moved a lot) and have never
met any other who takes such thorough care of my kids. She talks to them and is interested in what they have to say. Do your own research - she speaks nationally and is
known to be the best with children suffering "anxiety". What the previous reviewer failed to mention is that
her son screamed "I hate you" to Dr. Soxman repeatedly, told her to "shut up" and kicked her. No doctor should
have to accept that behavior without any support from the parent and then have her 30 year career and reputation bashed on-line. Her staff was incredibly patient
through it all and at no point were disrespectful. Dr.Soxman and her staff are wonderful.

Worst pediatric dentist I've ever experienced. Completely lacking of sympathy towards a very anxious child. And extremely rude. Suggested that my kid has special needs because he doesn't like to be there. Also made a rude comment as we left. Absolute worst experience I have ever had with my child EVER! I will NEVER refer her to anyone and I will make it one of my many life's work to make sure that everyone knows what a terrible person she is.

I think she's the best pediatric dentist in Western PA. We had a consultation with another pediatric dentist who insisted on putting my child under in order to fill a cavity. Thinking that was a bit much, I called just about every pediatric dentist in Western PA. Most of whom will either put your child under or give them laughing gas while they are strapped to a papoose board. Until I found Dr. Janie. She filled my two years olds cavity right after the consultation while my child sat on my husbands lap. It was easy, quick, painless. There was a little crying but all was forgotten soon after we left. No drugs, no papoose board. Love her and her philosophy on pediatric dentistry.
About Front Desk: Her whole staff is really kind. They keep you up to date on when you will be seen. If they are running late and why, etc.

Dr. Soxman is a fantastic and empathetic dentist. She makes me feel as though my children are the only patients in the world.
She and staff are sweet and kind with children. They are comforting with lots of gentle support to reduce if not eliminate the typical anxieties people often have with having dental procedures.
This is the dentist other health professionals choose to take their children to. We drive all the way from Sewickley for her services and it is worth every minute of the extra time we spend on the road.

Very knowledgable and relaxes children. Very thorough job. Always willing to explain procedures. A great office. My children now love going to the dentist.

My children go to Dr. Soxman. We've found her to be very thorough, knowledgeable and great with the kids. My children have no problem going to the dentist and we would recommend Dr. Soxman to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.
