DON'T USE THIS DENTIST!! Went to Dr. Alan Howard for a REGULAR checkup and cleaning thinking my insurance, which is top of the line, would cover the whole coast like it normally does. Dr. Howard's assistants (he himself doesn't treat regular patients) conducted a bunch of UNNECESSARY high-tech x-rays then billed my insurance for $340!!! The insurance covered some of the expenses and denied the rest and I had to pay $60 out of pocket for a REGULAR checkup and cleaning! NEVER AGAIN!

I had a toothache, called my dentist on Sat evening at 1130 p.m. he came in and started a root canal...I did not feel a thing..my pain went away.......I have been using him for the last ten years, he has the best staff and facility....the newest equipment . and does the best dentistry.....my veneers are amazing

Used Dr. Alan Howard's services for wisdom tooth extraction...NO pain, NO bleeding, healed magnificently well.
Used Dr. Howard's services for gum disease "deep cleaning" - my gums are no longer bleeding, the receding of my gums has lessened and I am on the road to having healthy gums!
I am using the dentist's services for general dental care too. Each person I deal with demonstrates care relative to my never experiencing pain and my feeling totally comfortable during all treatments.
Prior to any treatments- everything is clearly explained and proofed to be certain I understand the various proceedures. I am also asked if I have any questions.
Promotion of hygenic proceedures are encouraged and good nutrition habits are also recommended.
The entire staff is a joy to deal with!
I like the complimentary fruit too!
This dentist's services are worth my driving over the 100 miles it takes for me to get from my home city of San Diego to his offices!

Excellent dentist, has the very latest equipment (crowns made to order on the spot with digital machine technology). Excellent work, no problems. A bit expensive.
