Read Reviews for Dr. Jay Schwab
I went to Dr Schwab in the mid-80s and googled him randomly today after telling my husband about my horrible experience as a kid. I was crying and he covered my mouth with his hand and slammed my head back into the chair. After that appointment, I would get so much anxiety about going to the dentist, I'd get sick at school. I also had the majority of my baby teeth removed - maybe it was an issue with my teeth or maybe he had his own motives. It took many years to get over my fear of the dentist.
Seeing these other reviews made me feel an odd sense of relief (I wasn't being sensitive/ridiculous for thinking this man was a monster), but I hate that he hurt so many.

I google dr Schwab out of curiosity to where he is now,I was shocked at the comments I thought he was only mean to me, when I was 5-6 years old I had to be dragged into the dentist chair crying out of fear I remember him hitting me and telling me to shut up because I was crying, I’m 40 years old now and just just got over my fear of the dentist because of this POS good riddance..

Wow. Reading the other reviews was eye opening. He was my dentist almost 50 years ago (1974-1976). I was between 4 and 6 years old. He got mad at me for biting his finger-I had my mouth open as wide as possible- and if he didn't like the way I was acting I either got my face grabbed or he would grab my wrist so tight that it would leave marks.
Anyone else have unnecessary procedures? I had caps on my teeth for awhile.

This man was a sadist! He was abusive to children and enjoyed it. 30 + years later I have no clue why he specialized in pediatric dentistry. He would yell, and then he would pull me out of the chair to another room and show me another (not at a the moment traumatized patient) and scream “is she crying!!?” Not sure if this is still him or his son, but I’d surprised if he hasn’t had lawsuits. We should all start a support group. Lol

Dr. Schwab randomly came to my mind so I googled him. The trauma I had into my adult life associated with the dentists only recently came to an end. He was abusive, verbally and physically. I wish I told my parents back then but I was definitely afraid of him. I don’t know if he’s still living or not but I’d love to see him in person. This was 30 some odd years ago and I’m still triggered by him.

I was assaulted by this dentist when i was 7-8 years old. He left the room with suctioning on inside my mouth. when the suctioning attached to the bottom of my mouth i started to bleed and began to cry. He came running in and grabbed my face, slammed my head back into the chair and told me i wasn't allowed to cry in his office. i had a fear of all dentist from that point on. By the other reviews I can see i wasn't the only one abused in his office. I would love to hear others stories. R McCormick
