Not sure if Helmle, is still working, but the replacement dentists he has, are awful, this is my experience, but unfortunately, I would never have gone there if I had known now what I didn't know then. Went to have a tooth pulled, they did that, then "suggested", getting other work, I was like ok, I guess, lets do it. Well a month and a half later, I am still in serious pain. No call from them, to like say hey did the pain ever go away?? I went back 3 times, after initial work, and could see this dentist, had no idea what she was doing? I could hear her say like "hmmmm, I don't understand", meanwhile I like have lost 10lbs, and can't eat, cause it hurts, btw told them that too. Last thing she said, was well maybe the teeth are fractured (2 of them she worked on, are killing me), and might need a crown. Im like MIGHT? Look I need a dentist that knows their stuff, problem fixed. This aint the place. And to just let you know, the 2 teeth she worked on, were fixed when I was a kid, had fillings in them, and they were FINE until she worked on them. Im sad this happened, she was a nice person, but geez I just feel cheated at this point, I mean I expect after 3 visits, that there is something done. I am goin somewhere else now.
About Front Desk: front desk answered the phone nicely. sadly it just turned out bad for me, but I was thinking they work on a lot of kids there god forbid my kid went there and was in this kind of pain, and couldn't tell me, or was afraid to go back. geeeezuz

We took our son there & every time he left in pain. The receptionist Javon is a very rude person! She talks down to patients. We stopped going there mainly b/c of his staff. We had to also have 3 fillings redone & pay out of pocket! People take your kids elsewhere!

now that dr. helmle isn't working there much due to his knee surgery, the place has gone down hill. the girls that work in the office are not friendly or helpful at all. I really wish he was still in good health but I understand my boys loved him and now we are going else where all because of the staff. we loved that place prior to the new family dental.

The new dentists have NO bedside manner. They did not comfort my 4yr old AND drilled on him before and after the Novocain worked. Then yelled at him to stop when he was screaming that it hurt when they drilled his tooth. If you have a bad feeling like I did, YOU NEED TO LEAVE. Once they start you are stuck and I had to watch my child writhe in pain while they worked on him--4 people holding him down to put a temp filling in. I would rather let my baby's teeth rot out of his head than to let them work on him again. I also will be taking my 13 month old somewhere else to assess the damage he has from a fall to his upper, front gums. My 4yr old LOVED Dr. Helmle and WANTED to go to the dentist before this. But Dr. Helmle rarely sees patients now and it looks like he is retiring from his practice--which I totally understand because he's been in practice for 30yrs. But the new doctors are sub-par AT BEST and should NOT be in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Helmle is a kind Dr. but is always in a hurry and is never there lately. But the worst part of his office is his staff. They are by far the most incompetent staff I have ever delt with. The supervisor has "no set schedule" so if you have a complaint or want copies of your med. records you are at their mercy. The staff does nothing but lie to your face and make you responsible for THEIR mistakes!!! Never going back!!!

The dentist is fantastic but if office staff is awful. They charge you the wrong price for things and they do not know what a statement of account is compared to an estimate of treatment.

Friendly, courteous and professional staff. Clean office with arcade games, trains and legos to keep the kids occupied. Dr. Helmle is wonderful! He puts the kids at ease. Parents are able and even encouraged to stay with their children during treatment.

I took my 4 year old daughter to Dr. Helme. She was very nervous. The staff handled her with great care. She left with a big smile and was anxious for her next visit. I would reccomend him to anyone.

We were told that my 4 year old son had 8 cavities. Dr. Helmle saw him and said he only had 2 that needed immediate attention. He filled his cavities and let my husband stay in the room with him. Everything went extremely well. Two of my other children have seen him, and once again a great visit.
Also, my children now look forward to visiting the dentist. He has free arcade machines in the waiting area and the kids are pleasantly distracted as they wait for their turn.
My husband and I are happy that one of us can always be present if/when they need may need more invasive work.

If you have children, you MUST use Dr. Helmle as their dentist! Everyone in the office seems to really enjoy their job and it shines through with the way they talk to the children. We just went today and already my boys are asking when they get to go again. :)
