Dr Sipin is gentle, thorough, & defintiely painless. He's good with kids. He sold this practice to someone else, though. If you can find him, you'll be so happy. He makes his own crowns using AutoCAD & space age ceramics while you are in the chair. He has done 3 for me. These fit perfectly. I have followed all his advice, including wearing a night guard and using a special prescription flouride treatment to preserve what's left of my teeth, & am so glad I did. He also can provide veneers-I was surprised that he gave me a free consultation on my first visit, he showed me my teeth close up using the camera. No question I needed a dental rescue. He was recommended to me by friends.. He did my cleaning himself, at my request. Plus he has the fiber-optic camera/computer system for close-ups of your mouth, & digital x-rays, too I have had a difficult time finding a dentist whose work was careful & lasting. Over the last 15 years I have seen 8 regrettable dentisis, including the "famous" one who did my root canal (I am a 60 year old female microbiologist). Dr Sipin replaced a lot of old damaged dental work. Ordinarily I can't be bothered to write reviews. But in this case I wanted to do it, for all the reasons above.
About Hygienist: Sonji is a great dental assistant. Here's why I say that. She's great with kids & adults. She is a great patient advocate. Dr Sipin trained her himself. She totally accommodated me-I have a paranoia about cross-contamination, & also am allergic to latex. She let me watch while she santized everything, & put disposable equipment protection (like wide tape) on everything the dentist would touch; I know this is the standard of care, but she wanted me to see her do it to help me not to worry. Also she rounded up latex-free gloves & made sure that Dr Sipin had these right at hand (pun unintended!) to use only these at my every visit. without being reminded.

I had gum treatment and 3/4 crowns. He did a very good job!!!

The facilities are lovely and staff have a wonderful chair-side manner. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Sipin continues to expand his repertoire of the latest technologies in his practice. He also helped me discover the early onset of peridontal desease. For adults, I'd say Dr. Sipin is fantast. However, he is not a pediatric dentist and I would not recommend him for children. My son had two cavities that needed filling and he was quite worried about the possibility of getting shots. Dr. Sipin proceeded to explain to my son that he would NOT get a shot. Then I witnessed Dr. Sipin tell him that they would be playing a game and my son was to close his eyes and count to 20. Dr. Sipin proceeded to rub a numbing agent & give him 2 shots. When Dr. Sipin attended to another patient, I approached my son who told me that the Dr. had lied to him, that he was "sneaky" and that he knew he gave him a shot. I expressed my discontent with the Dr. when he returned and he defended his position saying that most children cry when they find out about the shot and he had every intention of telling him the truth after it was all over. I find this approach completely unacceptable and we have found a more appropriate pediatric dentist.
