I had a gum graph on my bottom 2 teeth in which I was told by a few people that it would be an extremely painful surgery. Especially when the shot is given in the palate. Needless to say I was not looking forward to the day of that surgery. However, I went ready and mentally prepared! When he first gave me the shots they weren't painful at all. THEN.. he told me he would be giving me the shot in the palate of my mouth to extract tissue from there and then put it around my bottom teeth (he let me know what he would be doing next & if it might hurt & always asked me how I was doing). In a nut shell.. It did not hurt at all! The entire surgery was a good experience, hardly any pain at all and throughout the healing process as well. My teeth are better but because of the massive bone loss, it has not done as well as we hoped it would do,. Not Doctors fault, it's the bone loss I had prior to seeing him. But, it's still way better than it was before. Since then I do NOT trust anyone else cleaning my teeth! He has a VERY light hand and is gentle. He's a very pleasant doctor and very meticulous and detailed about each tooth & area. He will explain to you what's happening and will anwer and not rush you with any questions you have.
About Hygienist: Once I arrive, I usually wait only about 5 mins. if that. It's a very clean, fairly small office/facility. Small staff but very helpful with your insurance.
