I saw Karsh after a dentist suggested I get the root of an old root canal examined. Her 'exploratory' surgery concluded nothing and left me with a permanent recessed gum above my front tooth. She did, however, explain that I would need to have special cleanings with her for (ever?). Her constantly revolving staff were terrified of her, her mood swings were unprofessional, she would drop tools on my chest and argue with her husband on the phone while working in my mouth, she constantly sent me upstairs to have a better dentist give his opinion and one time she cut herself on my teeth and then scolded me that I better not have any diseases. Her windowless basement office is depressing and she is incompetent.... STAY AWAY

Was recommended by my regular dentist so I could get an Implant placed, Dr. Karsh explained everything so I could understand what was to be done and earthing went smoothly. I would highly recommend her I implants are needed to anyone. Also her staff very nice, made me feel so at ease. Thank you Dr. Karsh & Staff for being so great!!!!!

Incompetent. Had implants. Had to have one fixed by other dentist. Expensive. Fumbling. Over xrayed me. Had to call in her teacher to get proper x-ray. Stay away.

i was a patient of dr karsh who was recommended by my prosthodontist. she was convenient in same building. i was to have 5 implants but needed gum work and a bone implant before receiving the teeth implants. the bone and gumwork seemed to be ok but she was clumsy with needles, dropping things, and couldnt get an xray of a certain tooth done properly. after numerous attempts she had to bring in one of her professors to help her. my mouth must have been xrayed a dozen times because of her ineptness. i complained to my prosthodontist about her because it was getting scary and he came down to settle things but in the end backed her up. there were times i felt like walking out but my gums were completely open and raw and i felt helpless. her assistants kept quitting on her while i was a patient and when anything complicated had to be done she would hire a temp who didnt seem to know anything. dr karsh was not prepared and in the middle of procedures had to send out for different hardware. one implant she abandoned with the appliance in the bone but not completely. finally my prosthodontist recommended another periodontist who he said was the best on the east coast and what a difference! he redid the screwed up implant.
About Hygienist: the second periodontist had three assistants and everything went smoothly like a successful military campaign. it was like night and day. i wanted to complain about karsh to the dental board but was thwarted by their rules.

Talkative. Appointments tend to run long. Long waiting time in waiting room. Good about fitting you into her schedule. She seems thorough. But her mood is unpredictable. Had to switch to a new periodontist.
