Dr Whitaker was recommended to me by my old Orthodontist when I first moved my family back to the Fremont area. At the time I had only 1 child (5 years old) and unlike the dentists I had as a child, I wanted someone who would be gentle and not make going to the dentist a negative experience.
Dr Whitaker has been great. My children still living in the area continue to see him and he has always taken great care of us. His follow-up is great, his staff is very helpful and he will continue to be my dentist until I cant drive myself anymore.

Dr. Whitaker and his staff are absolutely wonderful! My husband (and his whole family) has been in his care for about 34 years or so. We now live in Berkeley, almost forty-five minutes away, but we wouldn't go anywhere else. He is efficient, thorough, and real. He doesn't rush into the latest fad or insist on taking drastic measures, but, instead, makes sure that he is doing the best thing for the circumstances. I have never had a better dentist nor a better hygienist or reception/assistance staff in my forty-six years of life experience. I can't say enough good things!

Dr. Whitaker was recommended to us by our friends and neighbors who had been with him for years and years. He's cheerful and friendly, even cracking a few jokes while examining my teeth. He alerted me to a condition that no other dentist pointed out, and he's monitoring several other trouble spots that I hadn't been aware of. I have found him to be careful, skilled and honest.

We moved to Fremont 3-1/2 years ago and driving to our former dentist was just too far. I discovered Dr. Whitaker's office while walking around our new neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon and jotted down the number to call the following Monday. I was most interested in getting my husband hooked up with a good dentist but it turned out that I'm the one who's had extensive dental work done.
Dr. Whitaker is an absolute sweetheart who obviously cares deeply about his patients. He takes the time to explain everything very carefully and is so much better than most doctors about this. His work is as painfree as dental work can be (amazingly so!) and his office staff are all quite competent and very pleasant. His prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Whitaker came highly recommended by established Fremont neighbors and I can recommend him as well. He tells corny jokes while he carefully explains his procedure and thinking. Both the DDS and his assistants are relaxed and this will put everyone at ease. Both his hygienists are excellent and do not rush through cleanings. He doesn't work Mondays, but tries to be available on some Saturdays which is a big help. He has been in-network on 2 of my dental plans, but out-of-network on 1. YMMV.
Phone reminders of appointments from Elaine are very friendly and rescheduling is sometimes possible. The office is small and quite old, but I seldom have to wait so it is of no consequence. Located in a residential neighborhood, across from Glenmoor's Meyer Park, it is very quiet and there is never any trouble parking.
I needed some gum cleaning and I was very satisfied with his referrals as well.

Most friendly, painless and professional dentist I have ever been to. I have been seeing Doctor Whitaker for about 20 years, from Chilhood to Adulthood and I can not ask for a better dentist. I have recommended him to several friends and all of them have been impressed with his work!

I began my dental visits with Dr. Whitaker when I was a very young child, being brought by my mother. When I became an adult (around age 19) I ventured out to other dentists and had horrible experiences. I guess I figured all dentists were as great as my experiences with Dr. Whitaker. I found my way back to his office and now my husband and children are clients of his as well. I'll never go to another dentist again. Dr. Whitaker and his staff are the best! Compared to others, his office is very clean, pleasant, friendly, professional, torture free ... You name it! Even my husband appreciates the recommendation. He says all of his life he's never been to a dentist like Dr. Whitaker. Thanks Dr. Whitaker, for making an experience that people normally avoid, pleasant! -The Bradford's

Somewhat corny sense of humor aside, I have been going to him for decades and have always been satisfied. He is so responsive and caring that I will even let him do minor drilling with no novocaine. I have near panic attacks when going to the doctor to get shots, but with him I know that I won't feel a thing. I actually (I'm embarrassed to admit) look forward to going a little because I know that I will be able to just sit back and relax. I never get to do that, just relax. The staff is great and they obviously have a great time working together. I will be sad if he ever retires.

Dr. Whitaker has been my dentist for years now and I wouldn't go any place else. The assistants are pleasant and teeth cleaning is painless. It is always quick and easy to see the dentist.

Great Dentist and Good Friend. When I moved to Fremont in 1971 I started going to him on a reccomendation of my new neighbor. I, my husband and three sons went to him through
out their childhood, teen, and now young adult years. He is very gentle and explains everthing very well. Gives you options and really does an expert job. Referrals for Surgery or Orthodontist work worked out great. He has been a real blessing to my family. I have referred many friends and family members to him. His staff is excellant. And Louise the Front Office Gal is terrific.
