Dr. Watkins has been excellent in all the work he has done for me. My new crowns are perfect. A little adjustment a week later - maybe, but usually spot on before I leave the office. He is very good at making sure my pain in minimal (I am a renowned chicken), and he laughs at my jokes. Fact is, the hygienists, office staff and Dr. feel like family - except that they actually are highly skilled at what they do!
Dr. Watkins and team have earned my 4 stars with the first procedure. I recommend him highly.
About Hygienist: No question, thorough, painless and also laughs at my jokes. My gums have come back from the dead and I give her a lot of the credit.

Excellent Prosthodontist, this referral comes from a Registered Dental Hygienist. Dr. Watkins is a very knowledgeable Prosthodontist.

Dr. Watkins is the gentlest dentist I've ever used. I have poor teeth, and he has filled many cavities and made four or five crowns, and I've always been pleased with his work. He is meticulous and thorough, though a downside of that is that he works very slowly. His hygienists are excellent - equally thorough - and his staff are pleasant. My main concern is that he has become quite expensive, and he is no longer a participating dentist in the Delta Dental plan. We do get some coverage.

Did an excellent job of replacing an extracted tooth on an emergency basis. I can actually smile again. Pleasant office staff.

He did my crown for my front teeth, he made so happy, he is the best.

I found him gentle and thorough. A little hard to get through his fron desk, as his staff truly protects his schedule. BUt I did get in for an emergency.

Dr. Watkins is an extraordinarily patient, informative, and gentle dentist, with great expertise. He's active in professional organizations and teaching. His staff are loyal and very professional. It's a wonderful practice. I haven't had cosmetic work, but I've had many crowns, as well as a bite plate, and I've been very satisfied with the work. As for cost, I have dental insurance which pays for some treatments and portions of others, so I'm not certain how his rates compare to other dentists because fortunately I'm not paying wholly out of pocket.

I would like to add some comments to another reviewer's remarks about Dr. Ana Guerrero and the front office staff-- I have been a patient of Dr. Guerrero's for the past 10 years, & now have 3 dental implants. Dr. G was recommended by a highly regarded oral surgeon in SF and she did a wonderful job that I am very happy with. More than that, she is extremely warm-hearted, inspiring, and has outstanding interpersonal skills (being a physician myself, this combination of skill/warmth is rare). Sadly, she passed away earlier this year after an illness.
I plan to continue with this superb practice and have had only positive experiences here with the dentists as well as the gracious staff.

I went to Dr. Watkins with a difficult front tooth implant, he arranged all the surgeries leading up to the implant placement and made an excellent prosthetic, I was extremely pleased with the outcome. He had a well thought out treatment plan, explained everything and was extremely professional. He also did a bridge for me and did great work.
However, I was turned off by his front desk staff that consisted of a receptionist and his wife (also a dentist), they were extremly rude due to a misunderstanding on thier part. Dr. Watkins apologized for the incident, but I was unwilling to spend anymore money there.
