Re: x-rays, crown prep, crown work, bridge work. Lack of listening skills and lack of patient’s best interest.
Non-communicative/non-responsive to dental concerns to desired outcomes, specifically resolving the dental work he performed and issues resulting from his work. When grinding teeth down for crown prep, he ground down to the pulp on several teeth and did not mention this to me. My teeth were immediately sensitive to cold after the grinding when he made the impressions after grinding the teeth. He also failed to advise me of an abscess to a molar, with the abscess evident in the x-rays three months prior to my having obvious symptoms, resulting in the tooth (part of a 3-unit bridge) needing to be extracted and the need to go through bone graft/sinus lift, implant placement and new crowns (3) possibly 4, at significant cost. This has resulted in a snowball effect, involving other teeth, resulting in additional dental work. One crown that was cemented has had to be re-cemented 4-5 times before it would stay securely cemented. No! I would not recommend this Prosthodontist. He does not explain process and procedures in advance and does not chart patient’s concerns nor address concerns with patient’s best interest in mind.
About Hygienist: Ramon and the other hygienists in that practice do not give a very thorough cleaning. I leave feeling like I didn't have my teeth cleaned properly. Overall, I am not impressed with the quality of dental work and cleaning this practice provides.
