We are a family of 7 and even though Dr. Kodama is not inexpensive he is comparable to other doctors of his quality. We have dental insurance at times and not at others but we have stayed with Dr. Kodama for the quality of his work and the friendly accommodating office staff.
About Hygienist: The Hygienist is excellent.

Googled the internet for a pediatric dentist in Fresno.After calling several dentists I chose Dr. Kodama because I could get an appointment quickly and they could schedule cleaning, exam, and repair of tooth at first visit, we live two hours away so having the tooth fixed on the first appointment was a priority.
Arrived and my daughter was seen without delay, the hygenist was friendly, efficient, and competent. Things were going well.
The dentist arrived, did not introduce himself or even say hello to my daughter, did a brief exam and stated that my daughter had four cavities. He did not identify where they were or explain a treatment plan.
He then went to my other daughter, stated she also had four cavities. She was scheduled to have a filling, I politely asked him to show me where they were, he identified the teeth. I then asked him to show me on the x-ray, he seemed annoyed and did not .
He then left the room and I was told he would not fill her tooth.
I paid $498 for two exams, x-rays, and cleaning. Unlike any dental experience I have ever had.
