Dr. Weiss does a good thorough job. He may be expensive but he does quality work. He has put in two crowns for (and has also been my regular dentist for many years).

This dentist is not interested in general or preventative dentistry -- only the high profit margin of crowns (with or without implants). Don't expect advice on conservative treatment, or any kind of doctor-to-patient sympathy.
I had a very expensive crown made by him, which fell off shortly after it was installed. It was re-cemented with an additional post, but then it became loose -- only this time it was "stuck" and could not be properly re-cemented again. Eventually, since it wasn't tight, the tooth under the crown became decayed and now there is no way to save it. I am very upset (this tooth is highly visible).
I subsequently learned, while visiting another dentist, that this crown might have lasted if it had two posts from the beginning.
Thousands of dollars down the drain. I would've been better off not having any work done (there was no pain, and the tooth looked OK). I am in shock -- this dentist considers himself to be the best there is, and is not shy to tell you that you should have all your teeth capped by him (though they don't need it). You are also made feel bad when you bring up the cost issue.
Even if I didn't have this terrible outcome, I would not recommend this dentist. The whole experience was creepy.
About Hygienist: The hygienist is a nice person, but she used an extremely aggressive technique (something like a super-powerful water laser) that practically sliced off the edges of my gums. Lots of blood. Every time I had a cleaning there, I was completely wiped out that evening and the day after (because you essentially end up with a thin wound several inches long, through which bacteria enters your blood stream). I decided I don't need such an aggressive approach. Harder is not necessarily better. (I don't have periodontal disease, just a slight gum recession that can be countered with healthy diet and more attentive brushing and flossing).
