Great dentist. He really cares about his patients. He isn't cheap but he is very modern and the results are great. Laser surgery is so much better than the old fashioned way.
About Hygienist: Becky cleans my teeth. I really like her and she always does a great job.

I've been putting off dental work for many many years, partly because I couldn't find a dentist that I liked, but mainly due to procrastination. Dr. Shaivitz was the third dentist that I'd seen since I moved to the Laurel area, and after comparing him to other dentists, I know that he is very competent. He knows his stuff, is understanding and very patient, and his staff is excellent. I have a lot of confidence in him. My dental plan only partially covers the bill, but I think he's worth it; I wasn't happy with the dentists in my dental plan. His office offers a dental payment plan, which helps out a lot, since I have a lot of work yet to be done on my teeth. No dental work is cheap, you get what you pay for. If his work was "extremely cheap" (the bullet in the recommendation), I would be very suspicious.
