I wouldn't normally write a review, except in a most unusual case. Dr. Hlista placed 2 crowns for me and my entire experience was perfect. The crowns are natural-looking and beautiful. I am generally a worried, particular patient, and I paid out of pocket for the service. I felt it was worth every penny. I actually looked forward to my appointments. I found Dr. Hlista to be very detail-oriented, which is what I wanted. He explained everything carefully and in every way made me feel at ease. The office was clean and a beautiful environment. The receptionist and chairside assistant were friendly and competent. (I am not related to Dr. Hlista or anyone in his office.)

This man is brilliant. He is one of the best dentists I've ever known. His work is perfect. He and his staff are professional, helpful, and friendly. I get the feeling that Dr. Hlista likes challenging cases.

Dr Hlista does excellent work. His interaction with his patient is very professional. He is attentive to the patients comfort. His office assisted with filing insurance claims. I have been to other dentist because they accepted my insurance. I came back to Dr. Hlista because his work is much better. The "other" dentists work had to be corrected and nearly caused me to lose a tooth.

Dr. Hlista is by far the best dentist out there. I had a challenging cosmetic problem and he was able to resolve it. I have complete confidence in him. The assistant is great also, as is the office staff. Very professional. The cost is not cheap, but it is not outrageous either. Actually, considering the quality it is a good value. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My number one Dentist. The only man that will ever touch my teeth is Dr. Hlista. Because of him I am always complimented on my teeth!

Dr. Hlista put (4) veneers on my teeth back in August 1992. I frequently saw the 'before & after' photos at Nothcross Mall. The quality of the work he did for me was (and still is) excellent. I was concerned about how long the veneers would last, but they still look great 13 years later. I have since moved far out of the area, but I've long ago decided that if something should happen to my front teeth that would require cosmetic dentistry, I would fly back to Austin to have the work done without a second thought. I'm that confident in his skill.

Brilliant individual. He's got about as many degree as a
university offers. His work is good and he does not
work in silence. Most dentist won't explain what they're
about to do and tell you what to expect. Dr. Hlista does
explain as he's doing it.
PRO: bright, artistic
CON: expensive
He also cleans teeth himself. And he's not really too
good at that. He should hire a hygenist instead.
The rent at Smile Harbor is expensive, so then are
his services. Nevertheless, I can easily recommend him,
but just find a hygenist to clean your teeth somewhere else.
