I have read the other reviews on this site and must point out that Dr. Menchel is a TMJ specialist. He does not do any implants or crowns or regular dentistry. I was referred to him by an oral surgeon for TMJ. I cold not open my mouth without pain. Dr. Menchel and his team were able to reduce my pain almost right away and I was having no pain six weeks after i saw him. I had seen 6 doctors in the last 3 years and spent over $8000 dollars on treatment that didnt work. Dr. Menchel charged me $2500 and helpedfill out my insurance forms. He does not take insurance but was helpful in me getting at least some money back. He is the only person I would recommend for TMJ.

I saw 5 dentists before doctor menchel for my TMJ pain. I found out that he is the dentist that most dentists and doctors in the area refer to. I started with him year ago and have gotten my life back and had pain relief with his treatment I read the other reviews and and want people to note that he only does TMJ..he could not have burned anybody doing implants because he doesnt do dentistry anymore....I don't know that person was but her review is impossible!

This is difficult to write; he seemed very caring at first, but years later, nothing has worked and I've spent a small fortune. He told me I needed a mouthguard over $1000 not covered by insurance and it did not help and it seems he just did whatever he normally does for TMJ patients for me, only I don't have TMJ!. He referred me to a specialist at one point which was the worst experience I've ever had in a doctor's office; kind of makes you wonder. The plus side is he really spends a lot of time with you and genuinely seems to care. Bad part is cost and really he's a TMJ specialist - If you have TMJ, he's probably a great doctor. If not, I wouldn't recommend.

About Front Desk: bitchy and unhappy are the only words I can think of to describe. surprising because the doctors seem very nice.

About Hygienist: did not like - lots of side conversation, came off smug and judgey

Cannot recommend. His skills and chairside manner are poor. Needless pain, burned my mouth, implants never inserted correctly, have ongoing problems 4+ years later.

fantastic dentist.. fantastic person.. excellent faciltes, well kept, personable, knows what he is doing! excellent staff
