Dr Dodd has the worst "chair-side" manner. As a healthcare professional myself I do understand the importance of doctor/patient relationships. There have been 2 incidents that have occurred that has led to this review.
He is rude, late to his appointments (30 minutes one time), and condiscending to his patients. I thought it might be me but I've witnessed it with other patients and have spoken with one of them outside his office who agrees. it's bad enough to have to go to the dentist; I don't expect the Dr to make the visit more unpleasant. In 5 years of every 6 months cleaning and no cavities or dental issues, I would expect that I would have some repore with him (just like the other dentists that I've had for the last 40 years). I don't need him to be my best friend but at least don't treat me like he's doing me any favors. I should have left his practice several years ago when he acted the same way but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. When you get your teeth cleaned, you will never see him. Only the hygienist, not even for a minute (the hygienist is usually the strongest link in the office). The office workers are fine as well. One last thing... please Dr Dodd, turn the music in the office down! It's juvenile.
About Hygienist: There has been a different hygienist almost every time I've been there.

I had a regular dental check-up and cleaning done at William A. Dodd's clinic. He took a full x-ray of my teeth, his associate cleaned my teeth and examined them. When she found no problems, the dentist himself examined them as well to make sure that it was okay.
In general my experience was good. Not a fantastic service, but I believe they do their job as dentists well. I will return here for my next dental check-up.

My suggestion would be too book a visit a month in advance Say you're at a hotel and the air-conditioning is feeble or a lightbulb is out. Contact the front desk immediately. If the representative can't or won't remedy the situation, place a call to the company's toll-free customer-service number or, better yet, the frequent-guest rewards program (you did join, right?). When a Holiday Inn in Salem, Virginia, told Michaelene McWhinney, a BT reader from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, that it was out of hangers, McWhinney got in touch with Priority Club customer service. A very pleasant experience. I did not know what to expect without any personal referrals, but Dr. Dodd was one of only three dentists on my provider list that were near my work or home. I will visit him again.

Awful awful experience. Completely unprofessional. From the ancient office equipment to the blairing R&B music, everything was terrible. If you have a choice, don't bother. If you do, good luck.
