I have had problems with my teeth since I was very young. I hated the dentist and was never really satisfied with any of the results.
I had a bridge that needed to be replaced and I was referes to Dr.Scharf by my dentist. I went for my consult and was immediately impressed. Dr. Scharf already knew my case and that my dentist and I had discussed an implant. Dr. Scharf was patient and kind and answered all my questions even the ones that I called to ask after our meeting. I got my impant and was thrilled. I was shocked when Dr. Scharf called the day after my procedure to check on me.
I decided to get a second implant and went back to Dr. Scharf. I am even more pleased with this implant than my first! It looks amazing but for me more importantly I feel confident about the tooth. For the first time in over 25 years I feel confident biting into food with my front teeth. I dont have to worry that it is going to fall out like the crowns or bridge did. I can talk to people with confidence knowing that my teeth are not going to move around like they used to.
Dr. Scharf's entire staff is helpful, patient, kind,caring and understanding like he is. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Scharf and his staff for giving me back my confidence!

Dr. Scharf is a very caring and compassionate dentist, which is rare to find in a specialist. He thoroughly explained my condition and the recommendations for treatment. He answered all of my questions and concerns. His examination was extremely thorogh and the best exam I have ever had. I would highly recommend him.
About Front Desk: The entire front desk staff were extremely welcoming and comforting. Everyone I dealt with was great and made for a wonderful experience at this office.

About Hygienist: Ayla was very thorogh and informative. She was also very concerned about my comfort during the procedure. She did the most thorogh cleaning I have ever had. She is a gem in the office.

I have had a wonderful experience in Dr. Scharf's office. I tell everyone I know. I needed a dental implant. Dr. Scharf explained all treatment options to me, with pros and cons for each option. I chose a single dental implant. The procedure was the easiest dental procedure I've ever had. Dr. Scharf and his staff made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire procedure. I can't rate them highly enough. If you need a dental implant, this is the place to go!

My wife and I have been patients of Dr.Scharf since shortly after he opened his office in Babylon.
He has always provided us with the best of care. He is one of the most knowledgable people we know. He is the first one to make available the latest techniques and equipment . He explains everything completely and his workmanship has always been flawless. Whether it is implants or surgery, we have never been dissatisfied. I would recommend him to anyone who wants the best in periodontal care.
About Front Desk: The front desk people are great, and they should make a training video to teach other desk staffs how to do their jobs

I went to Dr. Scharf for a consultation as to the viability of an implant He told me that a bone graft was necessary in order to place the implant. I specifically asked Dr. Scharf if the bone graft would affect the adjacent teeth and he replied that it would not. Based on his assurances, I decided to go ahead with the bone graft procedure. After the bone graft, I noticed the two adjacent teeth had become significantly mobile. My incisor located to the left of the missing tooth also shifted position significantly creating a total space between my remaining front incisors almost 80% greater than the original space. I had to have a very large implant crown (simulating two teeth) affixed to the abutment due to the increased space. The adjacent teeth remain mobile and the crown is very painful. The faulty bone graft procedure perfomed by Dr. Schaf has resulted in severe damage to my dental health and quality of life, as well as in great financial expense.

Horrible, he broke the crown next to my implant which resulted in weeks of terrible pain and a huge additional cost, as I now need 2 crowns. Dr. Sharf could care less about my pain and told me that he did not want to see me, only after my reg dentist contacted him did he "agree" to see me, which, then, he did nothing.
The implant procedure, by the way, was barbaric! And, I was never told that I would loose the gum between my teeth...that it something you should mention when you are working on a young patients top front teeth!

Just had laser perio surgery on Friday morning. I was terrified (I had a bad case of periodontal disease). The procedure was completely painless!! I was out playing 18 holes of golf on Sunday. Dr Scharf is a brilliant periodontist. He is also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He really cares about his patients. He throroughly explains everything to you and will answer any questions you have. His entire staff is top of the line (I love them all!!). For anyone with gum problems who is scared to death to go to the periodontist, RUN to Dr Scharf's office. You'll be so glad you did!!!

Our experience with Dr. Scharf and his staff was outstanding. My 10 year old had gum surgery and was put completely at ease. He and his assistant were friendly, kind, warm and gentle with my daughter. Aside from being so professional I felt as if we were carefully guided through this whole entire procedure. We even received a considerate phone call from Dr. Scharf the night of my daughters surgery to see how she was feeling. I would highly recommend Dr. Scharf and his staff to anyone.
