Clenching and Grinding can cause you to show less smile

Do you or someone you know suffer from headaches and or muscle aches? Are you noticing that you see less and less of your smile? Chances are, you are among the many people who are experiencing the effects of tooth clenching or grinding. This common problem occurs when teeth contact frequently during the day or night, causing trauma and or pain. Clenching is an up and down motion of the jaw, while bruxism or grinding is clenching with the movement of the lower jaw, left, right, forward and back. Clenching and grinding, if not evaluated and treated early, can lead to the inability to reveal teeth when smiling, pain while eating, broken teeth and the eventual loss of teeth. Remember, early diagnosis and treatment are the keys to a vibrant and youthful smile. Once the tooth structure is gone it never comes back. This is the diagnosis of occlusal disease. The treatment for this may include crowns or veneers in order to rebuild the lost tooth structure and restore the smile to proper form and function. Simple fact: the only time teeth should contact is while eating. Practice this and you will be on the road to healthier teeth.

Hell, I live in Las Vegas and still see Dr. Skasko when necessary. He's that good. I have a dentist in Vegas, but only for cleaning.
Ten years ago I was living in the Columbus area and suffering with extremely sensitive teeth. I was a grinder and was slowly whittling them down to nubbins. Hot and cold foods were a struggle. Dr. Skasko fixed them all and gave me a new smile. No more sensitivity and, for some crazy reason, no more grinding. His work is absolutely fantastic. In fact, every dentist and hygienist that I have encountered since always ask who did the work and comment on what a great job he did.
And just as great, are the staff. They are exceptional. Hygienists and front office are caring, professional, and efficient. All have wonderfully friendly, inviting attitudes. You will find little or no wait once you arrive, and the front office staff will treat you like family. There really is no better dental experience.

"So what's all the fuss about this Skasko guy....he's just a dentist....so what."
I remember saying something like that to my wife, Robin, as she was going through initial consultation with this Dr. Skasko. Robin was, in my opinion, a bit too enthusiastic and unrealistic about Skasko's plan of attack.
"He's going to fix all my teeth. Actually he's going to change my bite and smile...and he said my migraines might go away." Oh boy, I thought. This Skasko guy is a real piece of work. But all I said to Robin was "Sounds great Honey."
How did it all turn out? Well, just ask Dr. Skasko to show you Robin's before and after photos. Fantastic and Beautiful. Worth every penny (and the total cost, by the way, was ok).
Eventually, I too stopped by for a consultation. I knocked out my front teeth when I was a kid. My whole life has been a series of dental visits, root canals, caps, crowns, pain and a lot of money.
Dr. Skasko worked his magic on me too. Check out the photos. I have undergone a complete transformation and I feel so "dentally healthy."
Dr. Skasko is unique. He's not just a dentist...he's actually an artist who's medium is dentistry.

About Front Desk: These gals are always so very friendly and warmly welcome me as I enter the door. They gracefully walk me through the billing expectations and insurance limitations prior to my treatment, and then finalize the appointment with receipts and future appointment scheduling. They enhance the entire visit by encapsulating the visit with the financial questions competently addressed and completed efficiently and respectfully.

About Hygienist: I usually have Andrea who is especially sensitive to the areas of my mouth where I have receded gum lines that are sensitive. She is always cheerful, thorough, and attentive to my needs. My teeth feel amazing when I leave.
Whenever I have any of the other Hygienists I am confident and relaxed that the notes that Andrea inputs are read and reflected in the treatment I receive. I've never had a bad experience, largely because they all have an "attitude of excellence" in treating their patients.
Hygiene time: Approximately an hour.
I know this doctor: I have known Dr. Skasko since 2006.
