I went to him shortly after moving to DC from NY.
He seemed ok at first, albeit extremely young looking,but unfortunately he was working in the office of a horrible dentist (dr. seiden (sp?)) who advised him to drop me as a patient because I was 10 min. late to an appt. (I kid you not -- there was nothing more cited than that) I have great dental insurance and it was only my 2nd visit so there wasn't even time to build up some kind of bad rapport with the office.
Dr. Ellis at first seemd embarrassed and said of course he would treat me (I was having a lot of dental problems and didn't want to have to find another dentist at spur of the moment)
But when I called later the extremely disgusting Dr. Seiden got on the phone and literally SCREAMED at me and said they wouldn't see me ... absolutely no sane reason was given.
of course, they did me a favor b/c why would i want to go there after this treatment? but it also is very confusing, hurtful, etc.
I would stay far away.

Dr. Ellis was the best dentist I had ever visited. Extremely gentle and very personable. Unfortunatley Dr. Ellis is no longer practicing - I hope he returns to dentistry since it's so hard to find a good dentist!

I was truly delighted with the dental treatment I received from Dr. Ellis. He's extremely kind and gentle (and a funny guy), and did a great job on my teeth. The only reason I stopped using him is because his office stopped accepting my insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), but I had a great experience and would recommmend him to anyone.

Scott is very personable Dentist. Prior to coming to DC, he interned in Boston. Overalll I like Scott.

Great Guy. Really nice. I moved to town last month and had no clue where to go. The guy is so amazingly attractive, you feel embarassed that he is looking into your mouth.

Reasonable service - of course I don't enjoy the dentist, but this one's alright.

Extremely pleasant and informative in explanations. Dr. Ellis made me extremely comfortable and is very understanding. However, I am still having a problem with a filling the office did, and problems with symptoms were misdiagnosed on two visits. Would only see for cosmetic reasons.

At first I was a bit nervous because Dr. Ellis seemed really young, but he was GREAT! He was gentle and very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. He did my cleaning himself (the hygenist only took the x-rays). The staff was friendly, though there was a bit of a question about insurance coverage, it was finally worked out. The facilities are small, but clean. I would definitely return to see Dr. Ellis.
