The best dentist in Denver. We switched to BrightNow because of insurance change. But we switched back to Dr Porter in 3 months even we have to pay cash.

Dr Porter is simply the best! He uses state of the art technology without exception. He and his staff are top notch. Our whole family, grandparents to kids go to Dr. Porter. I unconditionally recommend and trust him. He operates the machine which can allow you to leave with a new crown the day you go in...NO temps! Even his novacaine injector is computerized. It controls the speed and pressure of the novacaine going in, which in turn keeps it from hurting :-). His equipment is truely amazine. His chair-side manner is respectful and he loves to share what he's doing and how his technology works. He is the man!

I no longer am a patient of Dr. Porter. Several reasons: I had a different hygenist, different dentist every time I visited his office. He also recommended me for a surgical procedure by Dr. Carrol which was the most excruitating awful experience I ever had, took several weeks to recover at which time I had to go see another oral surgeon because of the pain. Also, not good in emergencies, I ended up with the on-call dentist who lived in the mountains and he complained that it was a really long drive for him to come down to the office in Littleton. All I could deal with at the time was my pain, not his distance problem. They recommended me for a root canal to the worst endordonist I've ever seen. (I've had several root canals, so am very familiar with the treatment). I ended up having to have it re-done by another endodonist because of the botched job, and thus had to pay for it twice. Dr. Porter also fit me for a crown which broke after a month. Really poor service. Very limited office hours. He does have a very friendly office staff and the office atmosphere is nice. Sorry, that's the only positive thing I can say. Also, he's very expensive. Way over R&C!

This office rocks. From the professional administrative staff to the awesome Dental Assistants to the 2 great Dentists in his office it's TOP NOTCH all the way. He is a national trainer for the 1 day crown machine (I don't know the technical term, all I know is it's the end of needing temporaries for 2 weeks, you leave the office with your final crown in one visit!!). Cutting edge technology with true patient care is hard to find, look no further. 3 generations of my family now go to Dr. Porters office and I continue to refer people left and right; without a disappointment. A true professional experience, I seriously wouldn't go anywhere else.

I highly recommend Jim Porter! I originally discovered Dr. Porter when looking for a dentist specializing in CEREC technology. Whereas many other dentists have recommended very expensive procedures, Dr. Porter has always been conservative in both costs and treatments. Instead of implementing a crown, per another dentist's suggestion, Dr. Porter was able to fix a cracked tooth with a resin filling. He has repeatedly put my dental well-being before his own financial gain. I'm currently undergoing orthodontic treatment to improve the aesthetics of my smile. Dr. Porter was one of two dentists, out of approximatel ten, that convinced me that the results I desired could be achieved through orthodontics alone (without veneers or bonding). After consulting with Dr. Porter regarding my treatment, my orthodontist (Dr. Theresa Shaver) was so impressed that she stated "You need to keep that dentist!", and she indicated she will be referring patients to him in the future.
