Dr. Stephen Colchamiro, DMD is the chief of the dental unit at Brookside Community Health Center in Boston. Several years ago Dr. Colchamiro, mounted two crowns for me within a short period of time of each other. These crowns were possibly of substandard quality, it took several attempts to mount the crowns and several adjusts were required. Immediately after these crowns were mounted, I began to experience discomfort with my bite. During subsequent visits, Dr. Colchamiro attempted to relieve my discomfort by making additional adjustments to my bite. During this time I began to experience headaches, symptoms of TMJ which were ignored by Dr. Colchamiro. I had facial swelling and another tooth eventually fractured due to the re-distributed pressure of my bite. After which Dr. Colchamiro attributed my discomfort to the necessity for a root canal and night grinding, despite the fact that my bite also bothered me throughout the day.
My jaw now has a click from TMJ. My upper and lower front teeth now touch and have worn considerably. Prior to these problems my front teeth were healthy. Dr. Colchamiro will not specify a possible cause for my problems but he does disregard his work as the cause, despite the proof within my dental record.
