Went in for a scheduled check-up and cleaning and had a surprisingly good experience. Upbeat receptionists and clean (if unspectacular) facilities left me feeling good. They have old TVs mounted in one corner of the offices, so I was able to watch NY1 while the hygienist cleaned my teeth. I am actually looking forward to my next check-up because it was such a positive experience overall... no fuss, no delays, just right.
About Hygienist: Thorough and friendly are the two things I want out of my dentist's hygienist, and she was both of things. Very good.

Dr, Gorti ( and her associates) are not only in my neighborhood (Upper Westside) but also on my AARP plan for twice yearly checkups and cleanings. The hygienist (Marina) and Dr. Gorti have always given me the best of care. Highly recommended. I have had fillings and a cap procedure by Dr. Gorti.

Very personable, seems thorough, has filled several cavities, one filling didn't hold and had to be re-done same day, but otherwise very good work.
About Hygienist: A little too aggressive.

Excellent, caring dentist. Prices are moderate, compared to others in NYC area.
Front desk is business-like, but could be a little friendlier when you are making an appointment.
About Hygienist: Hygienists are OK, not great. They tend to hurry through the cleaning. This area of the offices needs major renovation - it just looks plain dirty sometimes.

She is very nice although very chattery!
My main problem with the practice and her is that they never stop -- there is always a filling that needs fixing. Then when one shows up for that -- ups there is another filling that needs fixing, etc etc.
Finally after the 5th fixing I said this was rediculous since I have always had very nice teeth, but I was told that plastic fillings needed to be replaced annually. I do not think a lot of dentists agree with this statement.
And to make matters worse, her filling work were not very well done with one tooth chipping after she filled it.
Bottom line, I will find a new dentist and can not recommend Usha Gorti.

Mediocre experience. Dr. Gorti is very nice, but I didn't get a very proactive sense overall about the organizations interest in my dental care or needs. It was sort of here nor there...

Good dentist, nice facility, also had visit with different dentist in practice, just as good. Don't really know how expensive, she is accepts my Oxford dentil plan
