My daughter was treated by Dr.Minovi in 2009. The CORE BUILD-UP and the 2 crowns broke not too long after it was done. One broke while she was eating and the other just flew out of her mouth after biting into a cookie. Dr. Minovi is a very nice doctor with wonderful staff but I question her competency as a dentist. At the insistence of my son, we took my daughter out of Dr.Minovi's care. It was the best decision we could have made for she would have lost most of her teeth by now if she stayed. She has had to go for oral surgery to remove the broken build up under the crowns costing us $3141.00. We need several thousand more for the implants and the crowns which we had to postpone to save enough funds. If she did a good job, this would not have happened at all. We could have spared my daughter the needless stress of going for treatments, etc. Thank our lucky stars that my son insisted on a 2nd opinion and we found an amazing and fantastic dentist who competently addressed my daughter's case and he was finally able to stabilize her dental issues which took months. The matter is still ongoing as we speak for she will now need implants and crowns for those molars lost because she has trouble chewing her food .

You won't find a more professional, efficient but fun and heart warming dentist. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also, the state of the art equipment is fabulous

I had not gone to a dentist for many years and my teeth were a mess. Dr. Minovi and her staff made me feel comfortable and showed me several videos to help me to understand what was happening with my teeth and gums, then took the time to answer all of my questions so I understood what was necessary. The work was done carefully and without any pain, and throughout it was a pleasant and friendly experience - I actually enjoyed being there. I felt like they really cared about me. And my teeth look great!

I booked a second appointment thinking all would be great as the 1st appointment. The 2nd time around was not so pleasant. The receptionist was rude and they were running late. Twice I was told I need x-rays when I already had them done at the 1st appointment. They even wanted to charge for x-rays when I was leaving. The dentist used a new water treatment to clean my teeth. I felt like I was taking a shower and my teeth did not feel like they were clean. $175 later, I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

I like Dr. Minovi and had her for my first visit to a Dentist in DC. She is very up-to-date on her technology and knowledge and takes great care of your teeth. There are several problems, however: 1) She does not take any dental insurance and her rates are high so unless you have great coverage with your PPO dental insurance, you will be spending a lot of money and I'm not sure you can't receive the same service with someone who will cost you less; 2) She likes to send out a newsletter once a month discussing an issue of interest to her - it may be human rights related, it may be advising you to drink more water - I'm not a fan of getting more junk mail than I already do, but others like it; 3) the last time I went for my check-up she had me see a different dentist in her office and I was not told this ahead of time - the other dentist was also very good, but I didn't appreciate going to see Dr. Minovi only to be seen by a different dentist that I hadn't okayed ahead of time.

I tried Dr. Minovi after not seeing a dentist for 2 years. Her staff was friendly and courteous.

Very pleasant office setting. The staff are all professional and helpful. The doctor was explanatory through the exam. She took her time and I never felt rushed during the appointment. If money is an issue, there are a couple of payment options that are offered. Overall, pleasant office, great decor, relaxing atmosphere and very professional staff.

She is a great dentist and they explain everything to you and the office look like a spa. Very relaxing environment.
