Read Reviews for Dr. Sahar W. Tawfik
I have worked since I was 15 years old and saved enough money to fix my uneven teeth. After much research, I came to Dr. Tawfik for help. In November of 2006, she started my orthodontic treatment (invisalign). I was required to make a down payment of $2,000 dollars initially. Overtime, she had charged me $5,200 dollars and many others unrelated charges through my Dental Care Insurance. I kept all their invoices which easily added up to more than $10,000 thousands.
In the past month or so, she had ignored my phone calls, made me come to her office couple times for aligners adjustment, kept telling me my aligners will arrive in ten days. She led me to believe that my services (which I have paid for) are been taken care of.
Little did I know- she had shut down her business, moved out, and disconnected her phone. She left me with one loose tooth, couple teeth had filed down poorly and ruined. My teeth are not in the same condition as it was before. She basically robbed my money and took advantage of my trust. She had disappeared and I dont know where to find her.
I blame myself for trusting her. This whole ordeal has been so stressful and I am in a process of filing a class action lawsuit against Dr. Tawfik.

I initially saw this dentist because of a bad root canal performed by someone else a few months earlier. She placed correcting this (very painful) problem after a few fillings and recapping a supposed incorrectly done cap. Regarding this latter treatment, she said I had to do it but ended up filing it as an "optional" treatment with my insurance. I argued this but she made no attempt to change it and insisted that she said is was optional. Back to my original problem -- after two years of visits she finally performed an "apico" to treat the root canal. The original pain NEVER went away. She agreed to redo the apico. When she did this she did not talk to me, did not tell me the result of what she did, and in an odd manner quickly left the exam room. When I asked the hygienist what the result of the retreatment was, she stammered something about everything being fine. I finally saw a specialist (after I was referred by my new dentist) who told me the apico was not done correctly.
About Hygienist: Sarah is wonderful, pleasant, caring. She is the reason I kept returning to the office.

I am currently trying this dentist out. It was a pleasant experience though I am worried about the cost. My teeth felt very clean afterwards.

This dentist was randomly chosen for us by our insurance provider. My wife had a crown done here. The temporary crown fell out after a few days and the permanent crown fell out after a few months. The dentist who repaired it said that the crown was ill-fitting. The tooth is still causing pain. Also, they messed up the insurance stuff, and we had to file a grievance with our provider to get the fees straigtened out.
