FORTUNATELY I was referred to Dr. Welk November 2007 when I complained to my regular dentist that my lower tooth with a gold crown was hurting now & then, although a root canal procedure had been performed in 1989 by another Endodontist on this tooth.
After Dr. Welk carefully evaluated and explained to me my options to redo a root canal on this tooth which had not been correctly completed around 1989 by another Endodontist.
Dr. Welk , in short, meticuously performed this complex root canal very professionally -- my pain was almost non-existent,
chairside manners greatest. Dr Welk with his chairside assistant made this an enjoyable experience. Wish he had been the endodontist the first time. The front desk receptionist was very helpful with billing and insurance.
I just referred another person to Dr. Welk, as he had been referred to an endodontis that I had gone to earlier in 1989,
that failed to perform his work correctly on my tooth, which caused bone loss around my tooth.
Please understand that I appreciate the excellent work
done by Dr. Welk. a true professional, and his checking my tooth after completed before I left his office.
He also requested to see me in 2 years to evaluate
his work.

My dentist referred me to this endodontist who is the rudest and unprofessional dentist I've ever encountered. He spoke down to me and didn't seem interested in helping me unless I paid the entire treatment up front and then kept harassing me for money when the bill wasn't even due for another month.

I was extremely nervous about having a root canal because I had heard how painful they were. Dr. Welk and his staff put my fears at ease and informed me they would guarantee a painless experience...which they did! A tooth I had suffered pain from for several months was almost instantly pain free. Dr. Welk was professional, courteous and experienced. That describes the hygienist and administrative assistant also. Cost was in line with what others in that profession charge and insurance was accepted. I would recommend Dr. Welk to anyone and in fact, I did; my husband.
