The Good: Dr. Sabukinas is very personal. He always explains what he is doing and why he is doing it, which is pretty neat since you spend half the time under a bright lamp wondering what the heck is going on in there!
The not so good: Schudling can be a pain. Since he is so good, you might not be able to see him each time. Similarly, rescheduling might be a month later than you prefer.
Overall: A great place, great tools, great dentist to go to if you are looking for one close to home.

Dr. Savukinas treats his patients with the utmost courtesy and respect. He is very knowledgeable and teaches at the Dental School at the University of Maryland. This makes me feel even more comfortable because it keeps him informed on new advancements and information in the dental field. He also is obviously respected in the dental community.
About Hygienist: His staff is very friendly, competent, and professional. I trust them with all my dental needs.

Dr Savukinas and his staff are the best dental facility I have ever experienced. They are caring and see patients on time. Dr Savikinas explains options and procedures, distinguishes between necessary and cosmetic work, and does not try to suggest unnecessary work. They are especially good with patients who fear dentists.

I was very afraid of going to the dentist since it had been years that I neglected going to one before visiting Dr. Savukinas. I was very anxious because he was new in his practice when I started going to him. I thought he was the friendliest, most patient dentist I ever visited. He really took the time to explain his examination every step of the way...very refreshing!!! Plus, he takes the time to get to really know what is going on with every single one of his patients. I have recommended a few friends to him and they love him as well!

I have been going to Dr. Savukinas for about 2 years now. I think he and his staff are VERY efficient and take an interest in their patients. I recently chipped a FRONT tooth...and was so nervous about matching it perfectly. I just let him do his thing and he gave me the mirror....PERFECT MATCH! Now, I am VERY picky and I could not see where the fill was added. I even continued to examine it at lunch where I was sitting in a sunlit room! I always feel my cleanings are never rushed and are VERY thorough! It is worth the drive from McLean VA out to his Maryland office. I only hope more people get to know about him.
