Dr. Melcer gave me consults on several procedures. In the most recent case, he gave me a wide range of options, but did not give sufficient detail on each of the options to really allow me to make an informed decision. He gave me a lot of disorganized detail, but did not present it in such a way that made it easy to understand. For instance, in giving me options for strengthening my front teeth, he would mention all the bad attributes of one option, then all the good attributes of the next, but not help even out the information to let me see the balanced picture of the options when compared together.
Over the course of his treatment of me, most of the procedures that he recommended were not considered "medically necessary", so there were few options that would allow him to be cost effective and still give good preventative care.
He seemed to really be knowledgeable in the field, but I felt that his "bedside manner" was lacking in his ability to comfortably relay the information to me.
