I had a situation where I needed emergency removal of 2 teeth, I lucked upon Dr. Smilovits. I will start by agreeing that the Dr has no problems with personal self-expression. Topics that are confusing or political or even weird funny, but even so, his bedside manner is very nice as far as touch and presence, you will feel comfortable. My 2 teeth were hurting and barely there, I was for immediate extraction. Thankfully he said he will fix them and I will be happy. From my previous dental experiences I didn’t believe him and I’m poor so I opted for extraction, he asked if I had insurance, I didn’t. He said for 1500 he would do both root canals and I will have my 2 teeth back. Well, that was a wish of mine if possible. Well, 10 years later and uncrowned they are still perfect and strong and I’m now 42. What he did was done very well, and may last 10 more years. Dr Smilovits is a dental talent, I believe his tooth creating ability is better than a crown. He is by far the best talent I’ve met and yet I’ve been to multiple dentists after him. I truck drive and in dental emergencies I can’t be in Ohio instantly. My most recent dentist began my root canal on the wrong tooth, at least with Dr Smilovits I would’ve been ok.

Not a good person or dentist. Sloppy work which caused me to have repaired by a more qualified dentist. Talks politics even when you ask him not to. Does not treat staff very nice. Would not recommend to anyone.

Dr Smilovits, put in a crown. It's too big and I can't floss it. I went to another dentist and was told that Dr Smilovits did a terrible job. I was told I need a new crown. I went back to Dr Smilovitz and he basically told me "crowns cost a lot of money". He then walked away. So he is not going to stand by the work he did for me, We'll see about that! Do not let this Dentist treat you. He doesn't care about his patients.

I had bonding done on three teeth.The results look very natural and I am completely satisfied.I have always found Dr. Smilovits and his staff to be friendly and knowledgeable,and I would recommend this dentist to others.

On the Saturday before Easter, I had a serious toothache. I was working 12 hour, night shifts and although he was fully booked, he took my emergency call. We had been looking online at any dentistry offices that were open and taking new patients. There weren't any to be found! From that point on, we had a strong doctor/patient relationship. I entrusted my other dental issues in his hands. I had some issues from childhood that he said needed to be taken care of or there was potential for more problems down the road. I had dental implants to replace molars that were deteriorating due to bone loss. My sister-in-law, a dental higenist in Akron, agreed that his prices were fair and the work he said I needed was in my best interest. Two weeks into my completed impants, I'm very pleased with the results. Overall, it was a pleasant experience (as pleasant as going to the dentist can be!). His staff was friendly and personable. They genuinely cared about me as a patient.

About Front Desk: When you first meet Taylor and Colleen, their professionalism speaks for themselves. They have personal caring for all the patients. They not only speak to you regarding your care but are also friendly enough to get to know you as a person. The entire staff makes you feel not just like a patient but more like a friend.

About Hygienist: With ever changing schedules, I've gotten to know all of the hygienist. From Lena, Danny, Charles, Anna and Oxsana each one has shown great care and personal attention. As awkward as it is to have someone cleaning your teeth, I'm very comfortable with their professionalism and chair-side manner. I trust them now and will into the future.

Great office and a dentist who cares and knows what he is doing. So glad I found them. Did not need to see any specialists and pay through the nose. Thank you for a great service.
