He and staff royally screwed up my crowns. Bill appt for missed fees even though family members no longer patients.

I went to this office for an emergency appointment after I found a hole in my tooth. I ended up having multiple procedures and appointments to fix the problem and everytime I had a different dentist. The work they did was mediocre at best as a year later I am dealing with having many of the fillings they put in redone. They messed up twice on my billing and it ended up I had to write letters threatening to contact higher ups to get my money back. I would avoid this practice at all costs!

He was a very nice dentist. very conservative, did not try to seel me thing. His prices are also reasonable

Establishment has turned into an assembly line and patients aren't able to select a dentist. You only see Dr. Rekow on your first visit, after that no telling who you'll get.
The office manager and staff are unwilling to help schedule an appointment with a dentist that you've seen and prefer. As a matter of fact the office manager I spoke with was rather snooty and very much on the defensive.
So after 10 year I'm off to find another Dentist.
About Hygienist: Nga Nguyen is one of the best hygenist in Manassas, VA. She is thorough, professional, gentle and clean.

They don't do a dental cleaining as part of your check up and they don't tell you that until the end of your appointment! I found the office manager to be hostile and rude and from other reviews I've seen, I'm not the first to go through this. No wonder most of the staff is either crabby or else recently hired. I have the distinct impression that they are focused on packing in as many HMO visits as they can to make money, and aren't nearly as concerned about quality care and respect for the patient.

Good facility and average care (cleanings sometimes rough), but getting an appointment for a cleaning is impossible. Front desk doesn't answer the phone or return messages. The only way to get an appointment is to show up at the office in person - and then be prepared to wait another 4-6 months to be seen. Don't know if they're just too busy or they want you to go without preventative cleanings until you need more expensive treatment.

Dr. Rekow's office did dentures for me, I am not an older person, beore I started the work I asked how much my insurance would pay and to let me know how much I would have to pay out of pocket....I was quoted a price I paid my out of pocket specifically making sure there would be no additional cost. 4 months later I get a bill for $1200.00, I am still fighting it.
In addition, I was never told how to care for my dentures, what to expect, how I would have to change eating habits nothing, just popped in and set me off on my own. Chairside manner left quite a bit to be desired, spent most of the time each time, arranging dinner plans and social plans with co-workers for after hours, always felt like I was an intruder instead of a patient or that I did not exist

Refused to let me attend the cleaning with my young children - citing HIPAA regulations. I have experience with HIPAA and this is not one of the issues of "privacy" when an adult wants to accompany a minor child Performed additional services on my children I had not requested and specifically told them not to do.
My own cleaning was very poor; left tartar on my teeth. Very unprofessional from the front desk to the technicians to the doctor. The overall impression was that the facility wasn't very clean. I will not go back.
