Dr. Kanani is super cool and took great care of me....He placed 2 implants, one in the front and one in the back... I chose to have oral sedation which worked out nice since I'm very nervous about things like this...he was also very affordable compared to other implant specialst. Highly recommnded!

This doctor did tooth extraction and implant the same day on #10 . When he put the implant in, the site had bone infection. The implant was very close to #9. Also part of the implant was not covered by bone and since day one of the surgery, that part of implant thread showing through my gum. Over the course of 4 months, that lead to further bone loss and at the end of 4 month, no bone cover the outer side of implant at all. While during these 4 months, I had 10 follow up visits and 8 x-ray to monitor the progress. And my gum underneath the implant never closed. I asked questions all the time during the follow up visit. But none of these invoke his action to address the problem. Either his professional quality is really bad or he knew what happen but just not reveal it.
The implant was taken out. but the structure was already in such a bad shape, to restore to its nature look is almost not doable.
Dr. Kanani 's quote include $1400 for bone grafting. But put the implant in the same time of tooth extraction, which kind of bone grafting could cost that much?
I have to go through a series of surgery to correct his bad work and even after that, my tooth still won't look good. I sent complaint to the dental board of Californ
About Hygienist: Front desk is rude. I requested my medical record and has to go through ridiculous process and finally, only part of my medical record. and quality is not good too
