Dr Murphy is a great dentist. His staff is great as well. I've been seeing him for 25 years. Unfortunately due to the economy I've bee on a tighter budget. I called and wanted just teeth cleaning. I was told that since I hadn't been in for a while they would have to do xrays, an evaluation... it would cost more than $350, this doesn't even include the cleaning! So I'd be looking at better than $450. I certainly understand that they are a high quality office and want the best for their patients. However, this is like going into a grocery store buying a steak and be forced to buy potatoes and bread to go along with the steak. Us Americans have put up with this type of service far to long.

Dr. Murphy has kept my teeth glued together for 15 years.
My teeth are not in the best condition, but Dr. Murphy kept them going for 15 years. Always top notch service. He started with a small office and expanded it, but still has the same small office service and experience. Always keeps you in the know and is not shy to tell you the real story about the condition of your teeth. The dental work was very good and only had one minor problem with a crown during 15 years that was quickly resolved.
One time he looked in my mouth and said "this one has got to go" And it did right then and there. Now that is what I call trust in your dentist! If anyone else would have said that I would have said "no way"!
He always said hello and would check your teeth out on every visit. I have been to other dental clinics in the past, but I can say that Dr. Murphy is the best one in the Boulder Denver area that I have ever been to.
Only had one problem with billing in 15 years due to a computer error involving a insurance company and it was resolved.
Now, I have moved to another state and don't have that good dental service anymore.
Thanks Dr. Murphy!! And my teeth thank you too!!
About Hygienist: Always had good service from the Hygienist. They were a little rough at times, but if you want a good cleaning you have to do some work. And my teeth were always really made clean. Very happy with the results.

I have been going to Dr. Murphy since I was little and he is great! The office staff is so friendly and helpful, but what I like the most is that I have a little mouth and difficult jaw so every time I make an appointment all I have to do is ask for someone with small hands/fingers, and a jaw block and they always make it happen without asking any questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Murphy's office!

Dr. Murphy is incredibly nice and mellow. He does a great job explaining the problems, the choices and what to expect down the road from the issues with your teeth. He does excellent work with minimal pain. And his whole office has a wonderful demeanor--just very pleasant.
They seem pretty expensive to me, but I don't know what other dentists are charging these days, so I can't really compare. They repaired some bonding on the bottom of my front teeth, which is a hard place to make it stay (not a very durable solution compared to veneers which is probably what I'll do next). The bonding did chip a few times relatively quickly, but they fixed them at no charge to me. I really appreciated that.
Good solid dentists and people. I recommend Dr. Murphy and his group, North Boulder Dental Group
