Read Reviews for Dr. Andrew Leder
Had gum graft surgery performed twice and now after both surgeries where new gum is meant to transplanted to it is now extremely sensitive when i drink cold drinks. This was raised with Dr. Leder and both times he brushed it off saying 'are you brushin with Sensodyne?'.
I also believe he botched the second graft because now i have to go back and do a third graft. I have a large hole now above one of my teeth which was worse than before. The graft was meant to push existing gum over my receded gum but in fact the stitching was done so poorly that they burst open in a few days. When confronted about this he said this is what was meant to happen and that i needed to come in again. The doc's vagueness overall leads me to suspect he is not that competent.
Stay away from this periodontist.

I went to Dr. Leder to have a consultation about an infected tooth. Dr. Leder wanted to extract my tooth without even finding out why the infection existed. He recommended that I get an implant afterward which I would, according to him, have to wait 9 months for. When I asked him what was wrong with the tooth that warranted it to be extracted he couldn't tell me. He just told me that there was an infection and that he has seen this type of thing before. Additionally, when I asked him how many implants he had done, he could only say that he has done this sort of thing for 20 yrs. What sort of thing he didn't say. When I asked about his success rate with implants, he said some are successful and some are not just like any other procedure. I just could not trust my teeth with this man.
I would not recommend this periodontist.

Dr. Leder is the best periodontist I have seen, and I have seen a few unfortunately. He is very professional and knew right away what the problem was. Would recommend for sure.

I developed an infection on one of my molars and he insisted that I needed to have my molar extracted!! He did not mention any other alternative. I went to another specialist for a second opinion and this doctor suggested a root cannal. After undergoing the root cannal my infection vanished. Had it been for Dr. Leder, I would have lost my molar and $5,000 on an implant.
