Read Reviews for Dr. Kent Hales
I have been going to Dr Hales since I moved to Sierra Vista in 2018. He has done 2 implants for me so far have had periodontal cleaning done and tooth extraction. Dr Hales and his staff have been nothing but kind and professional. I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist and Dr Hales and his staff are very understanding and help me to stay calm. I would recommend him to anyone who ask.

Dr. Hales and his staff have always gone the extra mile in providing excellent dental care for me and my husband. He even came in a couple times on the weekend and evenings to treat me as I was going through some quite extensive procedures. I would recommend him and his staff to my family and friends without hesitation.

We were recommended to Dr. Hales from a friend and were very pleased with the service he provided to our family. Dr. Hales and his staff were prompt to receive us and were true to their appointment times. Dr. Hales did everything from rudimentary cleanings to not-so-fun procedures such as cavities and crowns. Dr. Hales used the latest technology and made us feel comfortable in his office. We highly recommend Dr. Hales if you have to go to the dentist.

I showed up 10 minutes prior to my appointment and ended up waiting for 40 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Once in the chair for my routine exam, the hygienist began to take x-rays. He was interrupted about 5 minutes into it by some guy that came in and started downloading software onto the computer in the room. We both waited patiently for five minutes...ten...finally when the guy stepped out of the room for a moment at the 12 minute mark, I exclaimed, "What is this--some kind of joke?!" The guy stepped back into the room, worked for a few more minutes and then left. I had to pick my husband up for lunch and was worried about being late, so the hygienist rushed through my cleaning--and forgot to give me my flouride treatment. You're not going to believe this--I didn't--but when it was time for the dentist to look at my teeth, the GUY that was DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE came in! It was the DENTIST who so rudely interrupted my cleaning! I was in such shock that I couldn't bring myself to say anything. At the counter when I was trying to schedule a follow-up, the receptionist kept me waiting for another 3 minutes while she was on the phone--finally I told her I'd call HER to schedule and left to go pick up my husband.
At my follow up appointment, the dentist didn't give me enough anesthesia and I could feel the tools and the PAIN while he was working on two of my teeth. Finally, after he noticed I kept jumping and was shaking, he injected more into my cheek. It was better, but still not enough. He made small talk with his disgruntled employee who was SUPPOSED to be helping him--she absentmindedly applied tools and hardening agents on the WRONG teeth--and had to be corrected at least twice by the dentist.
Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, my teeth kept giving me problems AFTER they were "fixed." I waited a few weeks to make sure I wasn't jumping the gun, then finally called and made another appt. The doctor obviously didn't want to do anymore work (would dig into his profits) and told me to wait a few months. Unfortunately, I was MOVING in a few months. So I waited, and three months later I'm still having trouble with the two teeth he "fixed." But now I'm on the other side of the country and can't be seen by him again.
The kicker? They sent me an additional bill for $38 because they say my insurance didn't pay for all that they thought they would. And yes, they sent this AFTER they re-examined my teeth when I was having problems with them. Talk about adding insult to injury! SIGH...Beware!!
