I had a gum graft few months ago and it didn't go quite as I thought. He was in a hurry to get me out of there, left me with a huge hole on the roof of my mouth and gave me a Stent to use while healing which was actually useless. It was one of the most painful experiences ever. It took me 5 days to be able to eat soft food and 3 to 4 weeks of healing and it still hurts after all this time if I eat a chip and it touches that area. Initially I had another surgery scheduled with Dr. Nielsen and did my homework this time and I went to Dr. Thunell at Wasatch Periodontist and not that he was gentle but he took the time to take pictures before to compare after the surgery, cleaned the roots of my teeth before adding the new tissue and he used sutures to close up the area where he took tissue off the roof of my mouth which allowed me to actually eat in the same day with no pain at all. I do not recommend Dr. Nielsen at all for this specific procedure.

Walked me through the procedure, had great availability, got me right in, good care of my concerns, followed up frequently, truly cared and delivered A1 service!!!

Dr. Nielsen extracted an abscessed tooth two weeks ago and performed a bone graft. It was painless, comfortable and even afterwards I only needed the Ibuprofen, not pain pills. He will provide me with an implant in 6 months as well and I feel very comfortable coming back to him. His fees were very reasonable and with the little pain experienced I think his extraction was very professional. I needed to call him once to ask about the color of my extraction socket and he made me feel very good about not bothering him at all and communicated to me that he is available to all of his patients via his cell phone if they have any concerns. I highly recommend him.

Dr Nielsen is exceptional. He makes you feel incredibly comfortable. I have always been totally stressed in a dentist's office but not with him. He has a great charside manner, has a great sense of humor and is very warm and caring. He did two implants for me. The procedures were totally without pain. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Nielsen to anyone in need of any periotontial needs or implants.
