I have been to dentists who seem all too glad to perform unnecessary services in order to milk insurance plans for profit. Dr. Andrews is a joy in that she has a genuine concern for patients and will actually advise against covered services when they aren't necessary. Her staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I've never felt unsafe or pressured in her office, over several years of visits. When an old crown fractured, I saw her to get it replaced. She agreed to do that job, but also offered simply to smooth the sharp edge so that I could defer the $400 cost until absolutely necessary. Two years later, I'm still perfectly fine and that much richer. My insurance will pay for two cleanings each year, but she thinks once per year is fine and forgoes the additional revenue to avoid unnecessary treatment. This is so refreshing after having suffered dentists who see their patients' mouths as gold mines. Dr. Andrews seems to know that this is a small town and her reputation is her most valuable asset. The technology in her office isn't state-of-the-art; she'll have to refer you elsewhere for surgery or a root canal, but for general dentistry and basic fillings, I can highly recommend Dr. Andrews.
