First visit to see Dr. Chun. Had to stay in network with my insurance in order to get the maximum benefits from them, why I chose Dr. Chun and cause of the reviews. The office is very small and empty, surprised he'd been there over 5 years. Dr. Chun works alone which is very unprofessional and seems a bit fishy. I didn't see any of his credentials hanging around, normally you should. He doesn't explain things at all during procedures. I felt some negativity from his receptionist. After paying over hundreds of dollars, they billed my insurance and later I received a bill because the insurance didn't cover it. Now the main reason I stayed in network again is to make sure I was covered and also they should know what the insurance will and won't cover. It's the last time going there and will never refer anyone. I recommend the next time you first timers decide to choose a new dentist make sure they have the credentials and knowledge of how to properly treat the issue by calling and visiting the office. Don't make the same mistake I have made.

Dr. Nolan and his staff are suberp. An amazing and professianal experience. I'm very anxious and Dr. Nolan put me at ease and did a great job. I highly recommend him and his practice.

Just had a dentist appointment today at Dr. Chun's office. I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time so it was well overdue. After checking out some reviews of some doctors in the area I decided to go to Dr. Chun because he had some great reviews. Dr. Chun was so friendly and professional that he made me feel at ease immediately. Throughout the whole procedure I was very comfortable and not in pain. ( I know, comfortable and dental chair don't seem to go together, kinda like oxymoron, but trust me it's possible at Dr. Chun's office ) He made sure periodically that I was still doing fine. He seems to really genuinely care about his patients. The staff at the front desk, Dina and Taylor were extremely friendly and helpful as well. Everything from setting up my first appointment to post op instructions, to follow up appointment they took care of it very friendly and in a professional manner. If you are looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients I highly recommend Dr. Chun and his team.

Awesome Dentist! My wife and I went to Dr. Chun's office for the first time a couple of years ago. Since my wife did not speak much English I had to go in with her as her translator. As a patient, feeling anxious at the dentist's chair (who wouldn't be?), naturally my wife had lots of questions. And me translating in between, I know we took a chunk of his time, but he was very patient with us and took the time to answer all our questions. And he did an amazing job with the crown for my wife, it looks like natural tooth and I can hardly tell that it's a crown. He is very sincere, friendly, and is very good at what he does. I definitely recommend him if you need a crown or a bridge or if you need a new dentist all-together.

Excellent dentist. By far the best Dentist I have ever been to. He is very knowledgable, patient and answers my questions very thoroughly. I was extremely impressed that he removes the tartar himself, instead of a hygenist; I think he is much more thorough than any hygenist I've had before. A previous person placed a review and said he scraped his teeth too hard. HELLO, that means you have a lot of tartar build up, dont blame your dentist, brush your damn teeth better!!!! Would you prefer he left that stuff on them?? Geez. Great Dentist in a nice office and at an easy location to get to.

I had to transfer dentists due to a job/insurance change so I was not especially happy about leaving a dentist in Chicago that I was very happy seeing for my regular check-ups.
Happily I found Dr. Chun in Evanston. I found him to be very honest and sincere when dealing with my dental concerns. I really felt that he had my interests at heart (recommended what was the best for me--not always the most expensive like some dentists.). He weighed with me the costs vs benefits of several options and let me decide which course of action to take.
Lastly, I do like that the office is small (he is the only dentist) and that he does the cleanings. I feel that nothing gets missed. Great overall general dentistry in my opinion. Now that the major work is done (who loves that??) my regular visits are a breeze.

horrible experience. worst approach to a standard semi-annual cleaning I have ever experienced. he scrapes your teeth so hard that I had to tell him to stop multiple times. A standard cleaning should not be so harsh. I will not go back.

Dr. Chun, by far, is the best dentist I've had in my life. His professionalism, knowledge and customer service is above expectations. He is gentile in his treatments, therefore 0 or non stress (which is hard to find in a dentist office). I highly recommend Dr Chun to anyone. Ah, and the cost is very reasonable. My insurance was accepted with no problems (Premera blue cross)

I just moved to the area and had my first dental check up. Dr. Chun's office is amazing, they not only got me in within a week but called me with a cancellation on an earlier date that worked better for my schedule.
His office is new, clean, nice, and centrally located in Evanston. He runs a tight ship so he has a receptionist but he does the cleaning...talk about personal attention!
I am 36 and have been going to the dentist regularly for a long time and yet Dr. Chun actually had something new to say to me about my specific dental care. I was very impressed. He and his receptionist are both very friendly.
The office is paperless as well ... another great thing in my humble opinion.
I'll be his patient as long as I live in the area...
