Dr. Assael is an excellent and conscientious dentist. He makes an extra effort to help the patient keep their natural teeth and his cosmetic work is outstanding. He was more aggressive than I would have liked when, for example, recommending replacement of old cavities simply for cosmetic reasons, in areas that never show. I believe he tries to balance profit motive with genuine patient care, however his receptionist was actually rude when it came to aggressive scheduling of appointments and reminders. I won't be going back. However I am conservative about spending on unneccesary care, and I have good teeth. I would recommend Dr. Assael for crowns and cosmetic work.
About Hygienist: Hygienist is excellent and sensitive to issues of maintaining teeth through correct cleaning, without immediate recourse to fillings, something she clashed with Dr. Assael about in my case.
