Dr. Ngo is truly a great dentist! His bedside manner is professional, kind and knows his stuff. I trust him to do what is best for me, not just to the bottom line. He truly cares. My two young kids go to him as well and he is equally gentle and patient. My kids don't have the anxiety I did as a kid going to the dentist and that speaks to Dr. Ngo and his staff. I have had and still need lots of dental care…root canals, bridges, TMJ…you name it. I also like how Dr. Ngo and a local orthodontist work together to follow a care plan. Dr. Ngo took the time to speak with my orthodontist after hours in order to make sure that my best interests were met. You will not regret going to him. The only rating lower than a 4 is cost-but that is not Dr. Ngo's fault. His prices are like all dental care. Insurance doesn't cover what it needs to. Just the way it is. So I would rather go to someone I trust and who does GREAT dental work!

About Front Desk: Love the front desk. Friendly, upfront on costs, understanding when you have to change appointments….you feel welcome when you walk into the office and it helps relieve anxiety levels. Have to mention that I love their facilities. Clean bathrooms, serene pictures, T.V. to watch to keep your mind off of the drills. They do all they can to make you feel comfortable.

This review is long overdue! I've had issues with my teeth my whole life, and when I met Dr. Ngo, he developed a long-term plan and permanent solution for my teeth. We sat in his office and he went over step by step the plan he had envisioned. He showed me pictures and x-rays of my teeth so I could see exactly what he wanted to do and why it was necessary to prevent future problems. Not once did I feel pressured to follow his plan. He is mindful of the costs of dental work and provided various options to cut costs. 3 years later, we have executed his plan and I could not be happier with the way my teeth look and feel. During this whole process, what I've learned about Dr. Ngo is that he is extremely detailed oriented and definitely a perfectionist. He will not use anything that isn't the perfect shade or size for your teeth and he will send things back to the lab until it's perfect. Here is the work that Dr. Ngo has done for me: cleaning, pulled teeth, root canal, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridge, retainer, and sports mouth guard (yes, I've had a lot of work done). Dr. Ngo is an amazing dentist, I trust his opinion, I trust his quality of work, I trust his staff and I trust that he is looking out for my best interest.

Dr. Ngo is not the 1st dentist I have seen. I'm 57 years old. Dr. Ngo is one of the best dentists I have ever seen. As an adult , I have always searched for great dentists. I know that seeing one wrong dentist, can adversely affect the amount of dental work needed, for the rest of my life. We are all helpless in that dental chair..and I relax knowing I am in great hands.. My husband and both see Dr. Ngo. He presents and discusses possible treatment plans. I trust Dr. Ngo with his assessment and implementation of treatment. I'm grateful someone referred me."

Dr. Ngo has really made me very comfortable in going back to the dentist regularly. I am roughly 1/2 way through a periodontal and restoration treatment and everything has gone very well thus far. All of the positive reviews are correct from the staff to the dentist chairs to the professionalism. The team is very interested in restoring your teeth and have great chair-side manner. Give Smiles 4 Fairfax a try and you will not be disappointed.

Had 3 wisdom teeth rmoved plus a deep clean. In short, if you want a non-judgmental, gentle, understanding, patient, dentist who takes a real interest in your dental issues and is also family friendly, you should see Dr Ngo. Staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are clean, technology is fascinating, and paperwork is easy to read and understand.

I am very satisfied with the dental treatment that I received at Dr. Howard Ngo office. My overall treatment is a success and I appreciate his honesty. There was no surprise throughout the entire process. Excellent work I rate him and his staff a Five STARS.

About Front Desk: The front desk staff is very professional, knowledgeable about the insurance and very helpful for scheduling.

About Hygienist: I give 5 Stars about hygienist. At Dr. Ngo office they are very gentle throughout, gentle in the cleaning. My teeth feel very clean.

I have been to a number of health care and dental providers during my life and Dr. Ngo is by far the best Dentist anywhere. He is professional and knows his craft better than anyone anywhere. This means that not only is he capable to the extreme of treating anything from a cavity to major wisdom tooth extraction he also takes the time to explain everything that is happening and why the procedure that he is recommending is the correct one. This level of care also goes to the rest of the staff as well. One of the best things though is its absolutely pain free. Dr. Ngo takes the time to ensure all the procedures are done with little to no discomfort at all! I have had all kinds of procedures done at other places but I cant imagine ever going to another dentist again. Dr. Ngo also takes the time to make sure all of your anxieties are addressed prior to any procedure. So in short he is by far the best Dentist I have ever been to!

About Front Desk: The Front desk staff are great. They take the time to explain everything about cost and ensure that all the paperwork and insurance issues are taken care of. They really are extremely friendly and its a pleasure to deal with them.

About Hygienist: I have had a deep cleaning or as its known as a root planing and scaling and the hygienist was fantastic. She took the time to explain everything that had to be done and ensure the procedure was as pain free as possible!

I had a tooth that had to be removed - and I chose to go with an implant to avoid having a denture type device. The process is not cheap, but well worth the money considering a lifetime of hassle-free maintenance. Dr. Ngo does an outstanding job of pain management, unlike some dentists I've had that can't seem to get me numb, never had that problem with Dr. Ngo. Very solid and I've already recommended him to others in my office.

About Front Desk: Very helpful, always calls with a reminder which I appreciate. It's just a professionally run office - they treat you like a patient, not an inconvenience...

Dr. Ngo is excellent. Great dentist and great facilities! On my first appointment, they did a full diagnostic of my mouth as well as a general cleaning. He came up with a list of everything he saw as potential worry spots, made it clear that it was my choice of whether to do each thing or not, and explained what his priority was and why. Probably my favorite things about Dr. Ngo are that he strives to make you as comfortable as possible and that he will explain anything you ask about. For instance, during a cavity filling, I expressed my interest in the procedure and he took the time to take photos throughout, and then explain them to me afterwards.
