I went to Dr. Ly for my regular cleaning appointment after seeing decent reviews of him at various websites. Well, he didn't know my left tooth from my right tooth - he saw the x-rays & said that my right wisdom tooth was coming out at an angle, when I knew that it was my left tooth (its my mouth & I have a fairly good sense of direction!). I asked him if he was sure; he said that he was. Anyway..I didn't think much of it until that same tooth started hurting the very next day (I had no issues whatsoever prior to this). I waited for a day to see if the pain would go away, but it only got worse. I called him & he sent an antibiotic prescription to Walgreens. 2 days later my face was swollen & I couldn't open my jaw, so I called him again & scheduled an appt for Monday. He called me back an hour later & asked me to come immediately instead (this was a Sunday). He saw me & went on to give me some lame analogies of babies with teething problems & basically said that I just had to wait. He saw me again on Monday & same story - he had no clue what was going on; all he did was get defensive about his cleaning not being the cause of the pain. I had to go to a different dentist ultimately for this problem . Then he sent me a bill for $400!

About Hygienist: I called the office about the ridiculous bill & the fact that he never really did anything to make me better. The front-desk lady was extremely rude & instead of discussing the problem started making threats about collection agencies. I don't have a problem paying if he would've taken care of the problem, but that was not the case! Moreover, he never mentioned that the visit would cost me $400, otherwise I would've just waited until Monday. Finally, I was going to wait until Monday, but he was the one who asked me to come a day earlier. The front-desk lady also filed the insurance incorrectly & billed me for charges that should've been covered under the insurance. When I pointed this out to her, she refused to correct her mistake & asked me to pay up. Please, save yourself the pain & the money & DO NOT visit this dentist!!

I was referred to Doctor Ly office over 6 years ago by my manager. I have always enjoyed the friendly staff, they make me feel welcome every visit. I have had to have major and minor work done on several tooths and have only trusted doctor Ly and his staff because they have always been honest with me, and reasonable. They have always helped me afford to have quality dental care. But most of all I will never forget the day he was off work and came into his office for and emergency dental service for a tooth he warned me needed to be worked on previously. I am truly please with this dental office and their service.

Dr. Ly seems very honest and uses the newest level of technology. I have been burned by dentist in the past, telling me that I have cavities that did not really exist. Dr. Ly gave me a good review, showed my pictures of the inside of my mouth using a scope camera and explained everything in detail but so that I could understand. He is very thorough and competent.

About Hygienist: The staff was very pleasant and nice, however the hygienist seemed to be new at teeth cleaning, and did a very messy unthorough job compared with my past experience. However, I was not upset by this because the staff was very nice and Dr. Ly was so knowledgable and honest that it still made for a very good experience.
