Dr. Nakagawa is a top-notch dentist, who has been practicing in LA for a long time. He is very courteous, professional and compassionate regarding his treatment. He is very thorough and careful, and did not inflict any discomfort. I ended up needing a deeper cleaning than normal (due to not having a cleaning for a few years). We did this over 2 visits and his staff took extra time in ensuring that everything was to my satisfaction. He is very knowledgeable regarding care and will be concerned with your previous dental history, as well.
One caveat, however, is he did not take my insurance. His office took care of billing them for me and got some money, but I had to pay most out of pocket. His prices are fair, but not cheap.
About Hygienist: Excellent. All his workers have been with him for years, so you will feel very comfortable with them. No fresh-out-of hygienist-school ones here. They work with him as a team and constant review you together to ensure that every base is covered. The office is clean and the staff courteous -- a very pleasant experience.
