My family dentist moved out of TX, so when I had one of my old fillings causing me pain, I started my search for a good dentist (more than the usual dental cleaning). Throughout 3 years I saw many DDS that did some things, but they were very expensive, and the attention as usual, just another patient. Even I had one little fracture in one of my fillings and a DDS told me I needed to replace it. Everything was very expensive and I didn't have dental insurance, so I just left it untreated. After a year, one of my old fillings started causing me pain, so a friend recommended me Dr. Velandia and I could not be happier. This filling was not easy b/c one of the teeth walls was very diminished. She was able to shape the filling using a little plate between the 2 teeth that she removed when the filling was done. Also, for the little fracture, she explained to me that before dentists had to change the whole filling because the materials did not allow proper cohesion. However, now there are new materials that they can use to repaired this kind of fractures. I really could not be more satisfied and happier with her. Her knowledge is current with all the medical advances.The attention is unique; you are not another patient, but a friend.
