Dr. Sarkissian is an absolutely wonderful dentist! He is very calm and excellent at listening and communicating what is happening. He is funny and very pleasant in a calm way. He does superb, top quality work and is definitely worth spending a bit more to get it right. He is extremely patient and very delightful to work with. I highly recommend him for kids and for anyone at all nervous about dentistry, as well as everyone else! I cannot recommend Dr. Sarkissian enough. He also saved a tooth of mine which had partly fallen out, without doing a root canal, or removing the tooth or doing a crown. It has been over a year and the nerve is alive and the tooth is doing very well (he did an overlay.) He also works with TMJ and all sorts of issues. He is very gentle, extremely knowlegable, careful, and very meticulous in his work. I actually love going to the dentist when I see Dr. Sarkissian and his staff. He is also an amazing listener and will hear you out on whatever is going on. And he is happy to take the time to explain anything you have questions on. And he does only non mercury fillings, removes mercury safely, use bio- safe (don't know the right word) materials, and his motto is "do no harm". Love Dr. Sarkissian!

I had been looking for a dentist for my 4 year old and had just left in terror one we interviewed who saw nothing wrong with drugging my boy and putting mercury into his teeth.
Then I looked into the yellow pages and found a dentist very close by who advertised homeopathic treatments - and he also took children. We tried and have stayed with him for the last five years. One testimony for his work is that our son, now nine years old, has no complains when it's time for a checkup. Use of a laser instead of a drill makes the treatment much more bearable - I still can't say it's enjoyable ;-)
One great idea for the treatment of smaller kids is that the parent sits in the chair and has the kid on his or her lap when treated which is much more comforting for the kid instead of sitting alone in this big chair. Also before the actual treatment, Dr. Sarkissian demonstrates his instruments to the kids and makes them much more at ease.
I myself became a patient as well and I now often get treatments without numbing, the laser is really great for that.
