Dr. Tillinghast has left... I guess the country. I am left with thousands of dollars in dental bills due to his poor practice. If he ever resurfaces, DON'T GO!
He abandoned his office without a word. I went on Halloween on all days to get a fill and was left with a YELLOW tooth weeks later. He is being sued by many I'm sure.....

The hygenist didn't do a very good job cleaning my teeth at all, actually I've seens dentists in Canada and in Asia and this was by far the worst quality. I have waited almost 2 years to get an appointment, the dentist kept calling in sick or some problem at home like his water pipes burst over and over and I was reschedulled countless times. The overall feeling I got was it's 3:00 and they wanted to go home. They only charged me $100 for a cleaning, I paid cash, but said they'd give me a flouride treatment and didn't. It seemed like I got the 'she's paying cash cleaning'. They usually charge $300 for cleaning and x-rays. I will have to go to see another dentist to have the job properly done. I strongly feel that patients deserve better and do not recommend this guy.

I think that Dr. Matt is a great guy and does great work. I just think that his office is not run very professionally. They never answer the phone and seem to rarely be in the office.

Dr. Tillinghast is a good dentist, who is friendly and helpful. He was available and willing to accomodate on a Saturday afternoon to handle a dental emergency. He has always been pleasant to deal with as well as professional. I have been happy with the procedures that he has done on my teeth. His dental hygienists have always been friendly and thorough. I have not ever had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for my appointment. The front desk staff have always been helfpul in dealing with insurance and answering my questions. The cost has been reasonable and the office files claims for insurance purposes. I have not had a negative experience in working with Dr. Tillinghast or his staff.

He is truly pleasant, a great dentist and tells it like it is. His staff is not efficient in returning phone calls and messages left on the machine.

I've had 2 root canals and crowns plus bi-yearly check-ups. He is friendly and knows what he's doing, and I felt confident with him in my mouth. I feel like is chair-side manner could use some improvement, but for the price it can't be beat.

I would not recommend this dentist, TERRIBLE bedside manner. The hygeinest and the receptionist seemed friendly, but I have had two dental appointments to try to get my teeth cleaned and three weeks later my teeth still have not been cleaned! During my exam, he made me wait an hour and a half to see him and then only saw me for 3 minutes and told me my one tooth was "a mess" and saying that I needed a crown without further explaination.
There is never anyone at the office to pick up the phone during office hours. The dentist cancelled my appointment on me the day of the appointment, making me miss my work for nothing. Going to this dentist has been a terrible experience and I would urge everyone to choose someone else.

Dr. Tillinghast is a good dentist, and does good work. He is friendly and his prices are reasonable compared to others I have been to. But he has rescheduled a large percentage of my appointments due to health. His office administration processes are spotty, with a number of personnel changes over the past months.

Unreliable - Scheduled appointment with a few of us who showed up to locked office; next door dentist office had seen someone there, not even a courtesy phone call or follow up call to explain.
