Dr. Tsuei is fantastic! I always recommend him to family & friends who live in the Bay Area. He makes going to the dentist fun & painless .. and he is a great conversationalist.

I totally trust Dr Tsuei, he's not forcing unnecessary work on you and provides good information throughout the process. I've had a couple of crown (I had to come back a few time, he's a bit of a perfectionist and wanted them flawless so they had to be redone) and a root-canal (totally painless to my amazement!). One thing: Dr Tsuei likes to talk, so if you're Mr or Mrs busy-exec forget about it unless you leave your cell phone at home!

Pleasant demeanor and a gentle touch. Failure by Dr. Tsuei's office to submit insurance claims at all, and then on time when prodded. No statements or billing over a three-year period. Bookkeeping that Dr. Tsuei himself could not interpret when I challenged him to forward my insurance benefits, at which time he showed me a print from his computer system.

Dr. was 1 hour late to the office. The assistant said it happened often. The office was 58 degress and none of the Assistants knew, or could, change it.

I was a patient of Dr Tsuei's in 2002-2003. I had a crown done in early 2003. In March of 2006 I received a 'Patient History Report' claiming my balance was $534.80. I figured it was a mistake and put it aside since I hadn't been a patient for so long. Exactly, one week later, I received a letter from a some attorney saying to pay the original balance of $534.80 plus interest of $156.48. Now I had never heard anything regarding this matter from Dr. Tsuei or anyone from his office, no phone call, no 30-day past due notice, nothing until now. Now because they never sent me any information on this, they want me to pay for a bill with interest that I never knew about! I am looking into this at this time with Kron 4, the Better Business Bureau and some lawyer friends to see what my recourse is. Basically, BEWARE of Dr Tsuei. Obviously, he has very BAD business practices! There are so many other dentists out there, that you should not take a chance with this one! Oh yeah, one other thing... my wife was also a patient of Dr. Tsuei's and she had to have her crown, and root canal, that Dr. Tsuei performed on her, redone by a specialist dentist because she had continous pain and basically it was done incorrectly! Beware of this dentist!

Terrible and infuriating. I went to Dr. Tsuei for a routine exam and cleaning. I was there 2 hours and didn't even get the cleaning, even though I asked insistenly. It was 9am and I was the only patient, so he certainly wasn't busy. He's just a bad dentist. For 20 minutes, Dr. Tsuei stood behind me at the reception area and opened his mail while I sat in the exam chair. For 30 minutes, he told me to switch insurance plans from HMO to PPO, even though HMO would be cheaper for me (could it be that he gets compensated at a higher rate for PPO?). He examined my four single x-rays and pushed me to do a $30 gum measurement. I asked 3 times to receive a cleaning, and upon the final time at 10:30am, he whispered to the hygenist to only give me a polishing. Outrageous. Does he think I don't know the difference? Even if he wasn't inconsiderate and unprofessional, his facilities are riduculous. Forget privacy. There are no doors, so I could see the woman in the chair next to me and hear everything going on. To spit out, you actually have to stand up and walk to the sink that is located between the chairs. I was and continue to be outraged by the treatment I received by Mark Tsuei. Find someone else, anyone else.
